Hmmm... the second Link. Wow. Based on one anime apparently. The other problem I had was this one especially.

I found myself watching these succubi again and again, mesmerised and unable to comprehend such un-Christian filth.

If its so offensive why was he watching it over and over...

Sniff sniff... I smell hypocracy

Is it just me or was that guy in favor of actually invading Japan during World War II? I once talked about what would happen if we had, and I think that is completely idiocy to want to exterminate a race if that is what he meant. Japan was not a fascist government and the reason they did want they did was because they felt threatened by America, China, and Russia. The Japanese government felt that in order to survive, they needed to expand. This would conflict with the European powers.

That person had little understanding and I also sense hypocrisy in his words.

The second site made me feel more sad than anything. Like cbwing0 I found a few things quite amusing, but I was overwhelmed by general depression. Sadly, this individual is completely serious.

But let me say something important: we should not just post links and make fun of people. Yes, it is funny. Yes, what they are doing is ignorant and less than intelligent. But we're Christian, and to mock these people would be to deny the teachings we claim to follow. Secular boards may do so, but we're supposed to be different from the world.

I'm not slamming this thread. It amused me. But let's try to keep everything civil here, alright?

I didn't like that second link. It was depressing. Expecially this:
"The worst attack on morality comes in the form of Japanese manga films, which spread a shocking message of immorality under the cover of animation, a cynical move targetting a genre typically aimed at children. These films are supposedly aimed at adults, but a moment's reflection counters this vacuous argument - what kind of grown adult watches cartoons? When we become adults we put childish things behind us, and cartoons, whilst of invaluable aid in entertaining and educating children, are of no use to a healthy adult of sound mind and firm moral base. "

I like cartoons. That must mean I don't have a "sound mind" and a "firm moral base". Ah well, I've been through this kind of critisism before.

( looks like I'll need to boot up the 'ol Bug Finder 2000 and see what the real problem is *snikers and grins*
<-------------------------Starts up Bug Finder 2000:------------------------>
BugFinder2000: "Please input your problem."
That Anime Banning petition, here's the first 2 sentences wrote:Here in America, we live in a climate of moral decay. What is the cause of this?

??? :shady: Interesting, Bug Finder says it's Microsoft. (it does that everytime  ) lets see what it says the solution is...

BugFinder2000:Solution= "Ban Microsoft products, Company owner is bad example and even worse role-model for other CEOs, promotes Steeling other's ideas, greed, trashy programs, bad software, horrid tech support, glitches, security holes, hacker heaven, and patches that need patches"

(o_O) Well there you have it. It said Microsoft is the cuase of moral decay in America, NOT anime. so "BAM in your face!" Dennis Fuller (anime ban petition starter)

Anime? Cause of MORAL decay!?!?

No... sorry, a BIG reason for moral decay is the fact that ppl get taught that God does not exist, we are all an accident of nature so we can all decide truth for ourselves.

Relative truth = No absolute morals = throwing away of Biblical morality.

I think it was created by squirrels and ants. >.>;; Or else it's spelled HUGE MANITEE wrong.

Why pin the blame on anime? These guys just are trying to say somethings evil so that they will get money.

Humm, this is a pathetic attempt to ban anime. But I thought if they did ban anime from retail stores in the market and television, I think that will be the best days of my life. Thus, there will be no more posers. I would buy anime online. ahh, if only it was true...

I've came across these sites before. I don't think there anything too get upset about. Most of these sites are just a buch of dumb hackers or possibly even anime fans that are dumb that put this kinda stuff up too laugh at the the people that get all mad. Even if these sites are done by real people who really want to ban anime I don't think they would be taken seriously. I just ingnor stuff like this anyway because people are going to say what they want to say and belive what they want to belive.

There are just stubborn people out there that won't change there mind for anything or anybody....till God get ahold of them. So don't mock these people and don't try to convince them that anime is not evil because if they are already set in there ways your just doing in in vain and looking like a baka while try too convince them otherwise. The only one that can truly change someone is God. Just pray for people like this if it really bothers you that much.

Walt Disney created cartoons... for adults, as where the Warner Brothers creations (Bugs Bunny, etc.) and Tom and Jerry.... I almost find it offensive that many of those old creations, aimed at adults where put on for children (most of the good jokes would go right over their heads, since they where aimed at adults from a specific era).

The quote sound like something I've heard before, I think even here... has anyone checked to see if this was in another thread before? Not that it matters much.

There is good and bad in everything and Cartoons/Anime is not exempt. Some Cartoons/Anime shouldn’t be watch because it would fall under the category of “badâ€
