 20/30? My prescription is so strong that it disturbs people. But hey, if you want glasses, go for it. Not alot of people get excited about such things. So yeah, go for it. :P

Glasses can look rather cool. We should start a thread for pics of anime and manga characters who wear glasses.

I get eye strain relatively frequently. It's a look. Why not?

at 20/30, most optometrists wouldn't even bother giving you a prescription. I'm 20/100...

In fact, WITH my glasses, I may be like 20/30... I want glasses that will give me 20/10 or 15/10 or something... Then everyone could call me fourhawkeyes.

Oh, and it's a must on my list that a girl wear glasses... Even if she doesn't need them. Don't take that as anything but saying that the idea that glasses make a girl look bad is rediculous. Everyone looks better in glasses, provided they have good glasses (IE: Those butterfly frames from the 80's? Not good)

But congratulations! :)

Generally, you divide... Sorry, I couldn't resist.

X/Y means that to that person, when an object is X feet away, it looks as though it's Y feet distant, So my 20/100 means things get blurry pretty quick.

I started wearing glasses in the forth grade when I had trouble seeing the blackboard in school. I wonder how many pairs I have gone through in over 40 some years. Acourse my eyes got worse through the years. Acourse the way glasses are made today you dont have to look like your are wearing the bottoms of Coke bottles and they darken when I go out in the sunlight so I don't have to wear sunglasses.
I had troubles wearing glasses has a firefighter because I could not wear them with a airmask. One fire I was walking in a basement trying to find a fire and couldn't see it but I could feel it. Another firefighter ran up because me with a hose and hit the fire right beside me.
I broke two pairs of glasses on fire calls. Finally someone came up a pair of glasses that fit in the mask so I had to buy a glasses case that won't let the glasses get broken. in my coat pocket. So all I have to do is take off the pair I am wearing and put my mask on and still beable to see. :dizzy: :wow!:  :eyeroll:

You look cute in glasses, Jaltus. Remember that political science video you had to do?
