Thanx

This online radio station plays some hardcore rock though.
Hmm, perhaps you should give Saviour Machine a shot, his holding a lot of the influences you like in his music with a gothic-metal style, a definite classical influence, and something of an opera vocal. If you are looking for new sounds, you may want to make a habit of camping out at http://www.christianindustrial.net and giving a listen to some industrial, industrial rock, goth, electro-goth (no, gothic music isn't so much like Manson and Nu-Metal as it is groups like The Sisters of Mercy or the Bauhaus with it's characteristic subdued but ethreal and haunting vocal), and maybe a little synthpop a try. I tend to be fond of Audio Paradox, Circle of Dust, Regenerator, Fearful Symmetry, The Awakening, and Saviour Machine myself, and would recommend requests of these to be played, while you just might like groups like Skillet or Rackets and Drapes. Assuming you like anything you hear and wish to pick up a CD, you just might find it for purchase at http://www.antiphonic.com , as a lot of this stuff tends to be relatively underground.HwaRang777 wrote:Does anyone here have recommendations for rock music that isn't emo or just drenched in secularity? Nightwish is very fantasy metal. They're really big in europe. I'm not sure if they're christian... but they're extremely talented, with a beautiful female lead and good mix between fast paced stuff and slow, beautiful stuff. I like Nightwish!!
DrNic wrote:1) Nightwish are awesome!
2) They are definatally NOT christian.
3) Their lead singer got fired recently (because she only cared about the money).
But yeah (check the lyrics first, 'I Wish I Had An Angels' a bit suspect and a few other songs). Ghost Love Score! One of the greatest songs ever!!
Could try some Japanese stuff too - I recommend the Mad Capsule Markets, they are explosively energetic. I could spend 10 minutes writing a synopsis of their sound (because theres so much in there)...but then again you could just listen to some of their stuff yourself (just don't download Jesus is Dead).
Whoa.
Tarja is left Nightwish?

ZiP wrote:Weezer??!!?! Are you serious?? I guess we've both experience different types of Emo, because I wouldn't dream of calling Weezer Emo, or Copeland for that matter.... Besides, it's not like I said "ohh have i got the perfuct thing for u. listen to copeland u will difentely love them i did!". It was just a suggestion.
I guess everyone defines their own style of Emo.
