Favorite/Least Favorite Manga and Why

Post about anime's sister, manga in here. Manga reviews accepted in here as well.

Favorite: Azumanga Daioh - I was immediately hooked on the unique 4-koma style of the humor of this manga. The manga was what brought me to see the anime when it became licensed.

Least: Baby Birth - Never really thought of it as a "bad" title; it just wasn't that good of a fantasy series (even if it was only two volumes).

Favorite: Fruits Basket!
Why: The story, mostly. The art is good too, though. I love the characters (with the execption of Ritsu...). I can only echo what others have said about it.

Least Favorite: Parfait Tic
Why: It started out pretty well, but just kept dragging ON and ON...
It came to the point where I just couldn't care less about the characters anymore. I don't know who, if anyone, the girl (I can't even remember her name) ended up with. And I don't really care, to be perfectly honest.

I think Juvenile Orion would be my favorite series that I have finished. I liked it because it had a happy ending, maybe a little to happy, but non the less everything was tied up nicely in the end. Plus every volume had a colored insert ^-^

Alichino is another series I'm enjoying, the art work is just gorgeous! The characters are all different and interesting.

My least favorite is probably a tie between Suki by CLAMP and Count Cain [not God Child] by Kaori Yuki

Suki was just disappointing in the end, the main character seemed naive to the point of stupidity. I also didn't like that one of the characters wrote porn novels and a small part of one is shown.

Count Cain I read about a year ago and, well, it could have been a story I enjoyed except it seemed to cross the line in violence for me, also several of the stories were just so disgusting and depressing in the end. Also one I found personally insulting, it just hit to close to home. I only read two volumes.
There is a thread on this somewhere if any one is interested.

Favorite - easily Full Moon wo Sagashite. In some places I think the anime is stronger than the manga (*cough Eichi cough*) but on the whole the manga is a superb blend of depth, plot, humor, drama, and goooorgeous art I could stare at for days.

I'm a furuba fan, too. ^^;;

I'm also starting to really like Sea Princess Azuri; I didn't expect to, but the art is wonderful and it's a very non-typical piece.

Least favorite- hm, well, I only got 4 or 5 volumes into Faeries' Landing before selling my volumes in disgust. I think at the time I couldn't really take the homosexual overtones, and I think there was something else about it, too...been too long now.

Scrapped Princess the manga is a disappointment, since it seems to be NOTHING like the anime I adored and the art is, IMO, atrocious.

.hack is also on this list not because I didn't like it, I just hated the ending. It felt way too rushed and incomplete.

Would it sound too picky to sticky these? I`m going to place them in every forum that would make sense.

Favorite: Neon Genesis Evangelion, Love Hina, and Kare Kano.
Reasons: I have always been a big fan of the Eva franchise. The art in the manga is beautiful and the storyline is extremely deep. Love Hina was the first manga I read front to back and from it, I began liking romantic comedies more and more. The art is beautiful as well and the characters are memorable. Kare Kano is a series that is bittersweet to me that just shows how much life is awesome but can suck at times.

Least: Cowboy Bebop and RahXephon
I bought the first volume of Cowboy bebop and hated. Being a huge fan of the anime series, I would sorely dissapointed. Basically the same thing for RahXephon, I disliked how they changed all the characters and such.

At this point, I don't think it is necessary to sticky any of them. If the threads are popular enough they will stay near the top, but we have too many stickies anyway.

Everyone's so different, it's fun to read ^___^

Favorites:
Definitely Angelic Layer! This was my first manga and even though it's really simple and childish, I think that's why I fell in love with it in the first place. It's simple and elegant and I love the way CLAMP drew it. And the fighting scenes are actually really fun ^^

Also Imadoki. I just started reading it (I'm only 3 volumes in) but I love the main character because she's easy for me to relate to, and the storyline is wonderful. Watase deals with a lot of really tough issues in a way that not many other mangas do, and that both shocked and amazed me. I love it.

My least favorite... that'd probably be Pita Ten. I read the whole series through but it just seemed really boring and flat to me. It just kinda drags on in some parts. I almost fell asleep. It only really caught my interest at the last volume ^^;
