Ok, this can't be the first time this question has been asked, but i couldn't find aanother post about this...

How can I change the settings on my connection to allow me to host games online? (Example: Starcraft Battlenet)

I'll give whatever information is needed to try to solve this.

Info I know you will probably need:

I would personally start by reading the manual for the router. It probably tells you how to do it.

This address varies for the router. I don't think there really is a 'standard' address. For example, ours is 192.168.1.254.

To find the address (assuming you have XP):
Go to Network Connections in Control Panel.
Double click on the Local Area Connection and click on the Support tab.
The Default Gateway should be the address of the router.

Check the back and bottom of your router, it's sometimes on a little sticker there.

Also, if you need help finding the address, open a command prompt (start->run->cmd.exe) and use the command:

your default gateway address should be the address of the router.

Quick review of a default password list tells me that Linksys likes:
admin/admin
Administrator/admin
<none>/admin
admin/<none>

so try those username/password comboes. Then change the password and write it down someplace you'll remember.

Yep. You need to name the thing you're forwarding, specify the port range (usually more ports means that more people can play on your server, but this varys from program to program), define what type of protocol those ports will be using (for gaming, usually TCP/IP), what your computer's network IP is (for example, my computer's net IP is 192.168.1.125 and my dad's is 192.168.1.100), and whether or not it will be forwarded at the moment.
