I only have one friend who has openly admitted to me about being drunk. It's hard to deal with, but I'm not sure I really have too much advice for you, mainly just because everything that I did was purely from a Christian standpoint and you're agnostic, so you probably wouldn't be too interested. I mean, what I do is just pray and try to point out to my friend how what she's doing is severely damaging her spiritually. I mean, I guess you could just try to point out to your friends the downfalls of drinking, all though likelyhood is that they already know them and just don't care. Most teenagers unfortunately suffer from superman syndrome nowadays-- they think that nothing can hurt them, because they're young and "untouchable." Trying to point out that, one day, they will be old, and they will have to suffer from the choices that they're making now. . . it doesn't even connect with them. They live for the moment. And because of that they have no motivation not to. As for the majority of the members here, we could say that we don't get drunk because it would be displeasing to the God that we serve, but without that motivation, most kids would think they'd be dumb not to do what they think is "fun" and "cool." So I think they best and only way that you can possibly help them is try to figure out ways that you can show them how "unfun" and "uncool" it really is.
Best of luck!
Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.
Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.
Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower:
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.
Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.
High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.
