will Tim Hortons be just as popular in the US?

Talk about anything in here.

Hmmm, I'm not terribly impressed by most doughnuts, and I've never run into a Tim Hortons, so I can't really tell. I don't really like most doughnut chains anymore as I live a block from a local Kosher doughnut bakery and I've had little desire to eat any other doughnuts since I had some from there.

You should live in Hamilton, the birthplace of Tim Horton's. We've got the highest per capita concentration of doughnut shops in the country. :P
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge

We have one about 10 min. off campus. Which is awesome, because I never drank coffee/tea before a month ago, and now I can feed my addiction more easily ;)

Krispy Kreme does not at all sound like a doughnut-selling place. The adjectives 'crispy' and 'creamy' do not immediately bring doughnuts to mind. Apparently the only state in Australia-land it exists in is NSW.

The only one I can think of around here is Donut King. I haven't actually tried it though.

And I bet it will take even longer for Tim Hortons to reach here.

Apparently Mr Donuts is a must-visit though, if you are in Japan (from what I've heard).

I always get a French Vanilla Cappuccino or an ice capp whenever I'm there. And Timbits are the convenient thing to bring to a group of people for snacking.

I have spent many a winter day staked out with a single-single and a chocolate sprinkle long john.

Edit: Hehe! I just remembered something: Rick Mercer and the fight against seal hunting with Timbits!! He rocks ^^
