will Tim Hortons be just as popular in the US?

More for the Canadian members here (probably the only ones that have even heard of it ...unless those that live near the border) so I thought I'd make it into a poll.

Dunno what the popular donut chain is in America at the moment (whether it's Robin's Donuts or Crispy Cream whatever... we have both up here already) but Tim Horton's wanting to expand its franchise south of the border, with it's amazing donuts, freezing ice caps, and oh-so-good Timbits!

It's like an important part of Canadian culture (specially when you rrrroll up the rrrrrim to win ) so do you think it'll be as popular here as when it does down to the states?

I personally think "no". Well there's a chance it might, but can't think of many Canadian chains that did so well down there than up here. Vice versa is different though (I wuv Walmart^^).

Real good! ^^ I prefer theme (yeast-based donuts) to the "best donuts on the island" (cake-based donuts). And honey crueller donuts there... *drools* I don't care HOW many calories they have in them! And new flavors and different snacks pop up all the time^^ Have a variety from cookies to yogart actually/ I should try their new ciniemin buns one day...

NOES! Wait...all over in New York, at least Western New York where most of my family is (at least seve in Niagara Falls as of last September, all within walking distance of each other.) But mind you, that IS close to the border ^^ Very popular there...thought I'm afraid I don't care for them much at all

My old pastor's wife is Canadian and she has my aunt send her the coffee every now and then. Usually has us pick some up when we make our "family" trips.

I don't think many Americans will beable to resist the addictive power of Tim Hortons coffee o_0

ooohh i love Timmy's but ya i don't know if it'll do good in the states. when they brought crispy creme here it didn't last very long at all. i don't know if we'd do that well down there if they didn't do well here. but ya never know...i personally love tim hortons lol heh i think all canadians do. my fav is honey crueller too and timbits are the best! i'm trying to stay away from coffee now but i'll still have one once in a while though.

oh and i checked and so far the only places in the U.S. that they have Tim Hortons is in Michigan, Ohio, New York, West Virginia, Kentucky, Maine, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.

i live near the border, and where i live, tim's is already as popular here as it is in canada. it's THE place to go to hang out no matter what time of the day.

What? I've never ever heard of Tim Hortons until now. Where exactly in Michigan can I get some "Tim Hortons"? (I've been all over).

Anyways the Crispy Creme place in my area has the best donuts I've ever had. I don't know if they make them this way at every krispy kreme, but they are just amazing here. I warm them up in the microwave if they are cold, but they are best when they where just made. You can get them right off the conveyer belt at my Krispy Kreme.

I haven't seen a Dunkin Donuts here in ages. They pulled out of California about ... gosh, almost ten years ago. There might be some new ones now in Northern California, but I haven't seen one reopen here in the south.

I hate Krispy Kreme.

Hmm, in Kentucky? Haven't seen one yet. My friend rushes ti TH's whenever we go to the Shankespeare festival in Stratford. But in the donut world, Dough-Daddy's rules! (Okay, so, like they only have one shop, but it is incredible!!!)

While I was in Canada on a class trip a few years back, I went to a TH for breakfast one morning. I was not impressed. I found it inferior to Dunkin Donuts in almost every aspect. ^^ Sorry my Canadian friends...(maybe it was just a bad place I went to)

Tim Hortons rocks! There are two in the city I live, and I eat there every now and then. Their donuts and timbits are teh roxxors! Michigan is among the first states common to get Canadian stuff that's beginning to expand to the U.S... I def. wouldn't be surprised if they eventually expand across the U.S.

Why do people like Krispy Kreme? Their donuts SUUUCK. I think the only reason people like that crap is because you get them hot off the conveyor belt. "hay our d0nuts r crap but @ least their fresh lolz amIrite?" Bah, I don't buy into that. Dunkin Donuts was way better and now they're all gone.

At least Dunkin Donuts had friggin' long johns and apple fritters and stuff. Krispy Kreme has the same freaking donut with different icing on it. And they glaze like, everything. So gross. They got rid of the only good donut they had...the powdered strawberry filled one.
