This type of thread comes up once a month or two - I wonder if perhaps there should be a stickied version? ^_^

I found it through Google . . . search for "christian anime" I believe . . .

So I met her at my youth group one friday night when my friend brought her along. She then told me and linksquest about CAA. So then we both joined

So thats how you guys found out about it... anyway, I joined after both MSP and Linksquest joined since they kind of wanted me too... and the rest... is history...

Lady Macbeth from a long time ago wrote:I found this website through a link on SerenityBuzz.com, the website for the Christian manga series "Serenity", and since I decided to contribute to the thread discussing that manga, I figured I'd better introduce myself as well.

 I had actually forgotten all about that. My goldfish memory does that to me.

So yeah, I found the site from an outside link as well, but it was a positive link, not a negative one like AnimeHeretic found.

That's exactly how I came here. I read the Serenity manga and posted this review on it, after I followed a link here from Serenetybuzz.com.

I stayed initially because me and UC had/have an interesting convo going, and then just because it's a generally pleasent environment to discuss anime—which is rare.

I'm not quite sure where I found the link. I think I found it in a big linklist and then I bookmarked it and it stayed there for...quite a while. Then I found it again and looked through and I was really impressed by the troll control here so I decided to sign up.

I believe I typed in "Christian anime" in the yahoo search bar, and it popped up.

Ahh... the annual 'How did you find CAA' thread. Well, it's a good story. One worth always retelling.

Well, it happened like this:

I was totally cruising through the Zargon Galaxy at Warp 5, when some jerk teleported out of a black hole and side-swiped me. So, I'm like... this dude ain't getting away with this. I began to ponder my plan of action, upon which I asked myself, "What would Jarod do?" The answer struck me like a bolt of lightning. I immediately readjusted my course for Earth and went to the nearest subway to get a Meatball and Cheese sub. But I scared everyone off because my of my appearance, and was then captured by men in black suits and taken to top secret laboratories and experimented on for about 5 or 6 years before I escaped, and in the process, ran across the ship of the guy that sideswiped me while traversing Roswell, New Mexico.

So I pulled out my rocket launcher I stole from the lab and blasted him out of the sky. Then I encountered a hiker, stole his DNA, assimilated for myself a human form, then lived in the mountains among nature for a little while. Years passed. One day I actually decided to head into town when I had an undeniable craving for a Starbucks cappucino. I didn't know what a Starbucks cappacino was back then, but all I know is by some plot device I had a craving for it. But the only nearby town was some hick small town with no Starbucks, but amazingly, an internet cafe, where I discovered the wonders of the internet.

Eventually, I found a link to CAA.

I found the website mentioned in "Plugged In" magazine and decided to try it out even though I didn`t like anime that much. I just scrolled through the Gamer`s Galore section every once in a while but now thanks to the people at CAA I now love anime and am a hi-post-count member as opposed to when I first joined I barely ever posted at all.

Now I visit this site more than any other.

I googled 'Christian anime' and this popped up. I don't remember why I googled it... it was probably around the time I was watching Chrno Crusade, and that's probably what triggered it. Anyhow, at the time I was active on a forum that wasn't exactly the best influence for me, so God led me here where I can love anime and have a great Christian atmosphere to enjoy it in ^^

My answer rules you all. God Himself told me about it.

But it IS pretty cool to see all the different ways people have come to find us, especially for us old fogies who remember when CAA was just a tiny corner in cyberspace.

But that's a different question, Ash. That's, "How did you found CAA?"

So... if somebody said CAA found them, they'd live in Soviet Russia?

I never did stumble upon CAA. In fact, I'm not even here. ;)
