Postby livxamlis » Thu Mar 23, 2006 8:59 pm

I was just curious on how everyone came across the CAA site?? Were you looking for this site? Were you looking for other things and just ended up on this site?? Me, honestly I don't remember at all :forehead: lol...I think I was supposed to be doing my homework...or something..*thinks for a minute* hmm ya i don't remember...it's been a long time, like almost 2 years ago.

I think I looked up "Christian anime fans" in Google... Or was it hotbot, that may have been in my pre-google days... It could have even been excite or yahoo... Or lycos...

I found it from a site that made fun of it, using personal attacks and vulgar language, and I decided to see what the site was really like.

I didn't have too high of expectations, since I was expecting a lot of "DragonballZ RuleZ", but the content and the membership was much better than I expected, and this eventally became my main place on the internet to hang out

I understand the mods thought I was a troll originally, since I came from the link to the site the people who attacked CAA provided. Fortunately that was cleared up

Ha ha...I actually had to look up my Introductions post to remember how/why I ended up here.

Lady Macbeth from a long time ago wrote:I found this website through a link on SerenityBuzz.com, the website for the Christian manga series "Serenity", and since I decided to contribute to the thread discussing that manga, I figured I'd better introduce myself as well.

 I had actually forgotten all about that. My goldfish memory does that to me.

So yeah, I found the site from an outside link as well, but it was a positive link, not a negative one like AnimeHeretic found.

Ashley spammed Anime Angels with plugs for CAA. I followed said link. (She has yet to deny it. )

Good point, and I hope it didn't sound like I was blaming you. I meant a heretic against the common views of anime (that it was all great and the best media of all), not a heretic against religion, but there was no way you could know that. I'm lucky I got a second chance.

I was actually looking for a place that provided web hosting. I think I had googled "anime + web hosting" or something to that effect, and CAA came up. I was so unblievably happy. x3

this site was advertised at a con I was at; at that time, anouther forum I was at was going through some changes for the worst, so here I am.

I guess it's been about a year or so ago since I first stumbled upon this site. Strangely, it was because of a link from another board that led to an Azumanga Daioh pic thread on CAA. Thankfully, the rest is history and I now exist as a member...

CAA popped up every time I did a search for 'Christian manga' (which was pretty often, I kept hoping something would pop up, because until a couple of years ago, it was next to impossible to find Christian manga through search engines). It finally piqued my interest since it showed up so often, and I started wandering around and eventually joined.

Long explanation for a short answer: through a search engine. (don't remember which though.) XD

Believe it or not, starstoryteller, who lives in washington. Came to maryland one day to visit a friend of hers. Coincidentally, that friend of hers is also my friend. So I met her at my youth group one friday night when my friend brought her along. She then told me and linksquest about CAA. So then we both joined

I found CAA through..... I think, Myrhhlynn, but I heard about it (but never went) through Izumi-san's site. Wonder what happened to Izumi-san? I remember seeing it than joining after I came home from my grandparent's.

I was looking for reasonable Christian reviews of anime to help me find new shows to watch, and I stumbled on this site. I liked the reviews, and eventually decided to join the forum.

I had been perusing (sp?) "anime" on Google in one form or another and must have, like Ultra Magnus, searched for something to the effect of "Christian perspective on anime," but I'm not exactly sure. anyway, I joined as soon as I saw the free membership and christian site, and then I somehow forgot about the site for several months. In my return, I have made this my homepage and I spend probably too much time here. Yay! ^_^ I love this place!

I had been looking for trustable manga reviews, and found a link from the Brio site to an article in the Focus on the Family site, and at the end of the article was a link to CAA's reviews.
