if you knew you were going to die within a day...

Talk about anything in here.

Yeah...The worst that could happen is that you'd die just a little earlier than you thought Allegro.

Well if you died suddenly then you wouldn't do anything special as you wouldn't have any forsight on it.
If you mean what about after death, well I certainly hope that going to heaven is an option...
Will insert something intelligent here later... maybe

This is, in my mind, the purpose of the thread. To make us contemplate our mortality. It is unlikely that any of us will ever be in this hypothetical situation, but all of us will die. Though there are major differences between considering a final day and our lives as a whole, I don't think the former is without worth.

I'd witness to as many people as possible. I know I should witness more, but I'm a recluse and I don't really like being around people...=__=

The point I was making was that it seemed to me that most everybody was assuming that the topic meant that they knew for certain they were going to die.
I think if one knows for certain that one's life will end on a certain date they would live differently from if they didn't know and died suddenly.

Love is that feeling you get when a girl looks at you and it feels like your driving a car at high speeds and experience a sudden drop. You know what i mean? That sudden sinking feeling you get in your stomach? Yeah, that's love. Leave's you speechless everytime.

I actually spent a great deal of time answering this question while I was going to college. The conclusion I came to is, if I'm going to change anything and live in any different way if I know I'm going to die, then I should change it already. As such, I'd live my last day as I currently live every other day in my life, without regrets.

If I knew I only had one day left, I would probably tell the people around me how much they really mean to me. I would probably also do the things that I've always been too afraid to do because of my shyness. But mainly, I would look back and appricate how meaningful my life has been and all the good memories.

Well, by the time I get on that rollercoaster, it would have been near the end of the day anyway. And since all of the festivities and goodbye's would have been taken care of, I might as well conclude my time on Earth with a little style - either from a passenger malfunction or passing out from the ride. :)

That'd be kinda funny but wrong dying on the ride...You'd probably cause a panic.

Heh, never really thought about it that way. Of course I would somehow reminded everyone at the park that this was going to be my last ride before hand, it wouldn't cause that much of a commotion. Though that's only if I was going to pass out on the ride (or my time to move on).

I would never wish for there to be a malfunction that will affect everyone else aboard that coaster.

I'm glad I don't have a gun or rifle. If I did I might be tempted to do a Ernest Hemingway and walk into the woods and blow my brains out ahead of time.

It would probably be all that I could do to quell the guilt: for all the apologies I was too proud to make, all the work left un-done, all the times I was too spiteful to tell someone that I cared about them, pretty much everything.

Realizing your mortality can be depressing... Death is an undeniable truth that we all try, somewhere in our minds, to deny.

Not that I am suicidal most of the time, but the thought of dying all of a sudden would make me depressed enough to think about it.

First, I'll see what cheese tastes like. (I'm lactose intolerant.)

Then, I'm going to play the hell out of all my games, see how many I can beat.

The last of my time would be used reading the Bible.
You poor thing.
Here, have a cookie. :)

"Hey, you're that manager guy!"

"Yeah, and you're the kid who breaks hands. Anyway, here is your pay. Five thousand dollars."

"*gasp* Five thousand? Wow, I should break DEvon's hand more often."'

"Uh, yeah don't do that."

Well, I'd just pray extremly hard that I got to have a wife and children in heaven. Pray hard and hope that I still get to experience the joy of a family...

I'd probably donate to a sperm bank as well with careful insturctions to the woman who used it...

Oh, my! That sounds perfect! I would do that, go to a nearby church and pray...about everything, and stay outdoors the whole day intaking as much nature as I could. While doing this, I would have my Bible out the entire time to read it, hope that a Christian would start up a conversation with me, and hopefully some non-Christians would become Christians after meeting me.
