Who's tried to bathe their cat?

I just tried. My cat was stinky, and I like to torment him, lol. He did not stand for it. The bathroom was soaked, my sister and I are soaked. He was relatively dry. His back legs and his tail got wet, but he clutched my arm with his forelegs. Needless to say, we won't try to bathe him again for a while. Not until we find out if cold medicine is safe for cats or not. My sister got her knee scratched up, so I'm probably going in alone. -_-;

My cats hate baths.

But when my family lived with my aunt and uncle for a little while to take care of my grandma, there was this kitten named Peanut who thought I was his mother and followed me everywhere. I got in the tub, and he stood up on the edge, meowing and wanting me. So I pulled him in! XD I gave him a good bath and he didn't fight or anything; he was just happy to be with me. ^__^ He was a couple of months old.

Now that we've moved, I miss the little creep. I got to see him in September though when we went back to visit. He meowed like crazy and was all over me. He was an adult, too, but he was using his "kitten voice". I was so happy to see him! But I wouldn't dare give him a bath now. He's too big, and I want to keep my arms.

If it's not claws, it's teeth...which is REALLY bad because you can get an infection.

Heh, I think we only tried to wash our indoor cats one time. I made my sister sit in the tub with the cat and hold her, and I'd be in charge of the actual washing. My sister came out with more scratches than a lotto ticket, and Abby didn't like her for a while. Me? Well...I got off pretty easy, actually. ^^

Theres my type of cat. I did meet a cat like that (well not so sure bout the bath part) but he was the cutest hyperist playful cat ever!!!!!

Anyways, when we first got my cat, it was a stray, and it was quite dirty and muddy, so we felt like it would be best to bathe him. And bathe him we did. With five of us in our bathing suits, we got him clean, but he meowed quite pathetically, and once mananged to climb up me, claws out, to try to get over me and to the door. Some genius in my family tried to rip him off of me, and that resulted in a deep scratch on my shoulder.

I hope to never have to bathe a cat again so long as I live.

Ah! That is a vile and odious lie! My brother and I bathed our cats from a very young age, and they still desperately cling to our shirts and yowl whenever we even come near a sink.

Most cats are hyper and play wiht people, and those hairless cats, like Mr Bigglesworth on Austin Powers, are hypoallergenic...

I cheated, I used to give my dog a bath using the hosepipe (he loved it) so when the cat came by, I'd give a quick burst. He be all stroppy for a while but I just picked him up and dried him. He got over it though.
Doing it in the sink... I still have the scars.

*nod nod* My cat like to splash in his water dish and then he drinks out of his paw. He splashes EVERYWHERE, so I figured he might like the water. It's like a giant water dish!

Yeah, but he's stinky and he rolls around in the dirt. He eats grass and bugs, so he's not really getting much cleaner when he bathes himself.

Haha, I dont have a cat of my own, but when we fostered kittens we would bathe them. Sometimes they were okay with it. They all had different reactions lol, one bit my mom.

I'm pretty sure there are a few breeds of cats that love water and swimming. Our cats... no they're not that breed XD We've pushed a few of them in the pool before. It looks kind of pathetic though and they get really mad.

I asked my mom and she said one of our cats, who's dead now, used to just sit there and let her get him a bath. He didn't like it, but he didn't yowl or scrath or bite.

I just read on a website on how to wash a cat.
It involves a wetsuit, motorcycle helmet, googles and welders gloves and a glass door shower or glass enclosed bath tub.
Find cat, carry to bathroom, close bathroom and then climb into shower or tub and close the glass door and drop cat into warm water and squirt with shampoo. As cat jumps for the ceiling squirt with more shampoo and when it lands start rubbing hair then rinse. Wrap cat in towel rub dry and then open door and watch cat fly. Wait a while and then come out of bathroom.
Cat will be outside plotting how to get back at you.
Maybe the dead mouse in your bed or the hairball in your slippers.

Here's howI bathe my cat.

I got a towel ready, put on rainboots, long pants, long-sleeved shirt, ect. Then get an eggcrate. I put the milk crate over the cat and gave her a shower with thehose, keeping onefooton the crate to hold it in place. After that, I gently put pet shampoo ion the cat, latheredher up, then back under the milkcrate to get rinced. Afterward, I wrapped her upin a towel and held her till he stopped shivering. It sounds cruel, but it works, and it's theeasiest way to bathe a cat.

Ok first of all.....Cat's dont liek water if you try to give em a bath they'll go crazy and you'll scare the heck outta them, and make them severely shocked. Second of all, they could catch a cold, and cats can die from colds cause they can't breath out of their mouths if their little noses are clogged. Dont bathe you're cat...they do that with their tongue, and if thats not enough their are POWDERS you can use that will leave your kitty smelling minty fresh! Again, no cat baths people...it's alot crueler than you think.

I have bathed my cat, and she does not like it, but will stay still.
Mum's cat, however... a cyclone of fur. >_< She usually wins, too. I end up nicely bathed, and she ends up with damp paws.

yeah...i've helped bathe our cat before. cats dont like it...that's why it's fun!!!

however, one time our cat decided he'd had enough. he launched himself into the air and planted himself first on my chest/neck, and then my leg. i think i had like...15 puncture wounds? at least that's the way i remember it. painful! however, minus all the bleeding holes and bruises, i got to brag alot. besides, in my family i'm known as the one too stubborn to care about stuff like that....i always win. haha. so yes, the cat did get a bath.

what's also fun is giving them pills. mwahaha.

One time, as I walked by the dryer, I heard a loud thump, then a cat scream. I opened up the dryer, and, well...this giant puffy ball of fur staggered out. I almost litterally ROFL'd. Nearly killed the cat, though. Knocked it senseless.
