About 3 weeks ago I was speaking on a panel at the NRB (National Religious Broadcasters) Convention held at the Gaylord Texan in Dallas. I meet Frank E. Peretti (author of This Present Darkness, Piercing the Darkness, The Oath, and Visitation).

I asked Frank if I could get a picture with him. He said sure, and who might you be? I introduced myself and told him I'm the future director of This Present Darkness. He laughed and said, I sure hope someone will some day.

Working for CBN, I have been blessed with meeting just about every Christian Artists, Authors, and Actors. We get a lot of exclusives especially when the Passion and Narnia came out.

For the past several years, through Siggraph, NAB (National Association of Broadcasters, E3, Toy Fair, and the Hong Kong Toy and Game Fair I have meet numerous people from ILM, Lucasfilm, Dreamworks, Weta and Sony Imageworks. It's amazing no matter how successful they are, how down to earth they really are. I have had numerous opportunities where I felt lead to ask them if I could pray over them. Many who will admit that they don't believe in God but allow me to pray since they see no harm. To this day, everyone who has told me they don't believe in God end up being touch by Him through that prayer and are so grateful that I had asked.

Let's see...

My friend Nick is the guitarist for the famous hardcore band As I Lay Dying. I've met the dudes from Dead Poetic, Embodyment, Kids In The Way, Skillet, MxPx, Seventh Day Slumber, Superchick, Piller, Hawk Nelson, and a few more bands. I've also met Steve Green (him and my dad are friends.) And I've met Dick Cheney. I helped sell a T shirt to Frank Perriti and he sat down right next to me at a bible conferance (which I was in a brochure for.) There are a few more that I can't remember.

Hmm... Well, my... 2nd or 3rd cousin is the read-headed california cheese girl... The one in those commercials... The first one was christmastime, and she goes downstairs to this room full of toys and stuff, and the parents said "Those must have been some cookies we left santa" and she says "I didn't leave him cookies, I left him cheese" The second one was during the presidential elections, I believe it was 2000, and she was interviewing the two candidates, and asking them what sort of cheese they liked, and one of them said "I don't like cheese" and the whole class gasped, and her face looked totally shocked... Then she supported the other candidate. Hahaha... She even wore a name tag with her real name... Which was a bit strange.

I've only met her once, when she visited my brother, who was visiting me... The swam in the pool (it was a pool for all the residents in the park, not a personal pool) and that was the only time I ever saw her. That was before I realized that the girl on those commercials was her. I was told later, so I watched more carefully.

Hey! She might become a big star some day and you would really know a famous person. You know TV and movies. Most people start on adds first and get to the big time later.

My brother is going to be the star of an indie film that this guy is trying to get in some film festivals. And he's also going to be on a net movie for this new sight that Times Warner is making. That'll be cool seeing him there.
