Yes, I am quite clean. I always wash and would feel strange if for some reason I was not able to.

Honestly, I rarely wash my hands after exiting the bathroom. Unless...yeah.
But I'll wash my hands before touching food or shaking hands or something. I'm just weird like that

And so hold on when there is nothing left in you

Always. Even though I don't always use soap. But I'm a little OCD, and if I don't wash or don't wash well enough I start getting really uncomfortable and panicy. I also get freaked out if my hands smell.

And I agree, people who leave the bathroom without washing really grosses me out. *is a germ-a-phobe* ^^

I am constantly washing my hands. Not just after using the bathroom. I mean I'm not eccentric, but when I got ready to type 'eccentric' I looked around my room and fixed everything I found out of place.
For me it's 70% having my room clean, 30% having things look perfect to me.
So it's not just in washing my hands that I like to be clean.

But I will always wash my hands after using the bathroom. Well, 98% of the time. Basically, you will never have to worry about my hands being dirty. Unless I haven't had a chance to wash them. Like if I was working outside.

geez, i've taken cultures of unwashed hands vs. washed hands, as well as just using water to rinse, using soap, using antibacterial soap, and waterless hand sanatizer... that alone would be enough to scare anyone into washing their hands!

Yes. And the more disgusting the bathroom is, the longer I wash my hands and the hotter the water is. I disliked public restrooms to the point of nearly having a phobia of them when I was younger; after I married my husband, I had to get over it, because he's an over the road truck driver and when I ride with him that means exclusively using public restrooms - including some of the most disgusting in the country. (And oddly, the truck stop restrooms are fairly nice and the showers are always clean - it's the general public restrooms attached to truck stops that are the most disgusting. There's one near Chicago that even allows smoking in the bathroom.)

There was a story on the news a few weeks back of a 12 year old girl who did a study on which was cleaner, the water in a toilet or in a glass of fast food ice water.
2 guesses which had e-coli bacteria in it and which didn't.

I always wash my hand after leaving the restroom, even if I haven't used the toilet. I never remember to wash my hands before I cook. -_- But I do wash them after I get food on them! So there is some chance I won't get dirt in my cakes.

Toilets are often one of the most sanitary places in a building. This is actually documented in quite a few places. Even with public restrooms, unless some recent immature slob can't aim.

Not really. You can take a culture of just about anything and study it, you'll find pretty much nothing is anywhere even close to clean ultimately. Also, the fact that unclean hands are nasty really has nothing to do with how recently you've been to the bathroom, but rather, how recently one has washed their hands.

On this subject, I recall reading an article about 5 years ago that was the result of a study. It's conclusion?

About 95% of people claim to wash their hands after using the bathroom. Only 65% actually do. :thumb:
