First question that needs to be answered - what are you looking to buy from said online store? If you want an entire costume, ebay's going to be your best bet. If you want a wig to cosplay with, I'd highly suggest cosplay.com's wig shop. If you need a weapon or a prop, you're best off searching anime merchandise stores like akadot.com or ebay, or even making it yourself. It all depends.

Sorry I can't help you with the hairgel - The only time I've needed to use it was for generic, not so heavyduty stuff, so I can't say which holds best.

Which holds better-- hair gel or hair spray!? Why don't you have me answer which came first, the chicken or the egg while I'm at it!? Just kidding. ;)

Actually, I'd say that they both would hold equally well. Which I would suggest you use depends on the look you want. If you were looking for more of a slicked back looked (a la Hughes from FMA), go with gel. However, if you're looking for more of a light, textured looking hold in your hair (Say, Hatsuharu Sohma), go with a hair spray. Additionally, I would strongly suggest that, if you should go with hair spray, buy spray that's in an aerosol can, not a spray pump.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

I would suggest trying Got2Be. And you don't even have to get it on the internet because their products are at most drug stores. They have various procducts including spiking gel and super strong hairspray. Trust me, this stuff really works.
