An Unfinished Story

Postby wingzero7 » Thu Feb 23, 2006 11:54 pm

I am like a book. If you want to know what my my story is, you will open me. If not, you will put me down. As you start to read me, you may begin to like me, when you stop and figure. You think you know what is going to happen, until you read on and see that you were wrong. after a while, once you choose to start reading me, read from the start. When you get to a place that you are afraid, pause, and then continue to read with fear. FEAR FOR WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN. So you try to look ahead, to see what is next, only to find my pages blank. They are blank because things could change. The story is only my past and present. Not my future. Put me down to read another day.

Interesting. I can connect with this poem because I have also likened myself to a book.

I would like to hear your comments on this poem, wingzero7.

[i]Two vast and trunk-less legs of stone stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand, half sunk, a shattered visage lies. Round the decay of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare the lone and level sands stretch far away. On the pedestal these words are inscribed:

“My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!â€
