Well, since I've been talking with everyone about this recently, I decided to start a thread on it. Wasn't sure if it fit in anime or gen. entertainment.

Anyway, Tuxedo Kamen is my hero!

hehe! Luna...I love how they did her. It's just so funny! I've only watched up to like 20 episodes or so on youtube.

Anybody here think Mamoru is hot in both the anime and the live action? :P

*goes off to finish watching episode 22*

I need to see this, but I have so much on my plate already. XD;; I heard it's cheesy, but hey, the original was cheesy too. And I hear the storyline is also radically different, which I like.

Heh I had to watch it... only cause I was a Sailor Moon fangirl and all.

Still, I'm sure everyone was surprised that instead of Chibiusa making an appearance, it was "Sailor Luna" :/ And she's... only 8 years old? :/

IMO Sailor Moon is one of the Must See anime series.I would love to get a DVD of the live action series. From what I understand my Ami turns Evil during the Dark Kingdom storyline(I believe from what I read it's something like eps.17-28 or so,if you have seen it you can correct me on it.)Fact is I'd love to see PGSM on something like Toon Disney(hey they already air all the various incarnations of Power Rangers).
Going to look for the third Inuyasha movie while in Spokane on Tuesday so will be looking around for other DVDs as well.
You never know though.
btw:I found an English site with pics from the live action series which is where I got the following of Sailor Mercury from:

By subs, because you'll probably never see them over here, being owned by Toei and all :/

The show is rather interesting, after seeing the anime plot, the manga plot, and now this one. Like the "dark Ami" thign in there, plus you get to really see a new side of Serenity!

I loved the live action series!! I've seen it all the way through twice *hugs his fansubs* I thought it was a lot better than season 1 of the anime, I liked all the changes they made to the story. The biggest one was probably what they did to Minako, I was really surprised; in the anime Minako got on my nerves a few times but in the live action show she became my favorite character. The music is also great.

*sings* Atsui kimochi wa C'est la vie
Watashi ga watashi de iru kagiri
C'est la vie anata wo aishitsuzuketai
Me no mae ni aru kono shunkan ga ikiru basho
Kakenukete

Some of my favorite scenes/episodes: The one where Usagi, Ami, and Rei had to sing along to "C'est la vie" in order to time their attacks and defeat a bad guy. I also loved the episode where they all went on a game show together (Episode 40, I think).
The biggest one was probably what they did to Minako, I was really surprised]

I forgot about that whole thing... well, concidering the ending of the series, it doesn't really matter that
she died from... whatever it was she did (did they ever mention it?) It's been a while since I've seen it...
.

Heh, they sure made Motoki into an itneresting character :/ Didn't think someone would be THAT obsessed with turtles :/ And well, who knew that his co-worker would end up being
Nephrite!
...I still think Zoisite was a bishie and yay! Not as feminine! ...he plays a piano. I think it's the voice that I really liked, but still the wig worked well with the whole image.

Is it just me or did they do a really good job on the "4 Heavenly Kings" (the name excapses me at the moment, but that what it translates to :/) Shitennou is it?

I'd love to get DVD of the post-Dark Mercury storyline to start with.
btw:Anyone see Power Rangers Dinothunder? They had a similiar story arch with the
Evil White Ranger arch.Never watched it myself but thought it was interesting idea.
As far as it goes just ordered vol.6 of Sailor Moon S from AnimeNation today so can't wait to finally see it.

Cause in Power Rangers they wear costumes that cover their faces, allowing Saban to rip out the battle sequences and film their own live action sequences with actors. I'd be scared to see what they would do with PGSM. It would be nice if it was officially released subbed though.

BTW, for all of those who want to see it, I believe they have either all or most of the series on youtube. Very bad quality, but at least you can read the subtitles.

If you want to see more just look up "pgsm act" and the number of the episode you want.

Yeah,I can just see what would happen if they did bring PGSM over here,it end up getting Disneyfied and all the good story archs like the Dark Ami one would be cut out of it entirely. Also all the girls would look like cheerleaders.

*finally finished watching the entire series* Those last episodes were so sad! I was crying nearly the whole time! I mean...Minako...and Mamoru...and...well, everything, even Zoisite and Kunzite...it was just so terribly sad! :'(
BTW, was anybody else wondering about Nephrite at the end? I mean, it just kinda skipped by him...or did I miss something?

...did you ever see on the Toonami Arsenal site the idea just before Sailor Moon came to North America what they were going to do with it? Oh my, a mix of live-action, CGI, and cartoon :/ It's so sad, that people at the press conference were laughign themselves (so be thankful it was never made^^) Seriously, check out the site to get the clip it's pretty bad^^

Well I finally got my Sailor Moon Super S DVD today so can't wait to see it.I know where I can possibly order a DVD of PGSM and am thinking of doing so one of these days.
I think though the problem with bringing it to America is that it would end up being
dumbed down.

After watching the first ep. on the Sailor Moon Super S DVD I'm even more jazzed to see the live series.
Personally I think someone needs to do a Sailor Moon/W.I.T.C.H. crossover.

I have seen most of the first 20 or so eps (fansubbed), my girls love watching it. But beware, one of the eps has a subbed "F-word" which i'm sure wasn't in the original Japanese :(
It is very cheesy, but fun.

So I have heard. Then again we have to remember that the primary audience is
12 year old girls although that doesn't mean no-one else can enjoy it,it just means we need to keep in mind who the primary audience is.
