Yeah, but they would probably just op for eating us instead, and that would stink.

I dont like spiders, but they are facinating.

not sure if this has been posted yet but it should scare some of you. DON'T READ IT IF YOU ALREADY HAVE TROUBLE SLEEPING!
In the average human life time, a human digests 3-5 spiders because a spider crawls into your mouth and down your throat and gets digested.
Why must we be abandoned in times of need?
Do others not see when we yearn for their touch;
An insatiable hunger only they can feed.
Left alone with out their words – fallen into darkness.
Stumbling blindly without their light,
We fall and scream, knowing we've faced too much,
Knowing the only answer is flight.
Flight from the lives we once faced
And the joys and terrors others have brought.
Our time with them, a time of joy and life,
Wonder we all, was it for naught?

Fortunately, I haven't seen a single spider in all the time I've stayed here, otherwise I'd have trouble sleeping. This thread may give me nightmares anyway.

I find spiders fascinating things but must admit I am quite fearful of them. The red-backs and funnel web spiders scare me the most as they are dangerous.

As a kid, I once put my hand on this knob on a tree branch. As soon as I did that the "knob" moved. Turned out it was a spider in disguise. Since then I have learnt to keep my hands close to me instead.

I have found those pictures interesting but scary. More scary than interesting. :|

I found one crawling in bed with me in the middle of the night. it's punishment....death by rolling from a coat hanger. ^^. I also found an interesting colored spider in my room and used our vacuum bug thingie to get it. I drew it and it's markings. can anyone tell me what type of spider it is? My scanner doesn't work so I'll have to describe...ok. it was black, about half an inch in length...the back portion of it's body had an ORANGE thick outline ending near the rear without touching. then inside that ring were two orange dots. *supposedly looking like a face?* then on each leg *cept the two front ones* there were two small orange rings...almost looked like sweat sock rings...if you know what I mean. and that's about it...it also had two large eyes with smaller eyes...I knwo some spiders have four large or no large eyes...

I luvels spiders...thankfully all we have here are pretty much daddy long legs.

Actually, that image turned out to be fake.

I held a tarantula once. I also had a huge wolf spider in my back yard. We put it under a huge pot and waited for it to starve. It was really fast.

It's not exactly a spider, but it's about as creepy. I had one come out from under my computer desk Haloween before last. It's so fast and creepy.

I don't think so. They're creepy, but I cannot deny the ingenius designs that God put into them. These creatures, which you will probably never be more than 2m away from at any moment in your life, are awesome.

Edit: Oh yeah, that camelspider picture has been proven fake for a year or two now.

You can tell the camel spider picture is blown up and then put on a layer with army people. They just look like two seperate pictures (lighting's also a bit wrong).
They still are very large spiders. Just not anywhere near that large. The Spider Crab, now that's big. It's body is often the size of a huge basketball and its legs reach 3 metres across! (but they are a species of crab, but look spider like).

Jack Bond, the second picture is a centerpide. I hate those things. They are very poisionous and scary looking and are common here.
