Before I go on, anybody every heard of Masters Commission? Well my ex-youth pastor is now the Director of the Metro Baltimore Masters Commission (http://www.metrobaltimoremasters.com) It's a 9 month intense discipleship and ministry training-type thing. Held right in my hometown! More information PM me or go to the site when it gets up
Anyway, 8 people from my church and I went to Dayton Ohio on thursday afternoon to promote the MBMC (which will start this september!) We set up a booth inside the Dayton Convention Center where the Ohio Fine Arts festival was being held (For the OYM Ohio Youth Ministries)
This is Pastor Kelly getting some stuff in the van and such.
Some shots inside the van. 8 hour bus ride from Baltimore, Maryland to Dayton, Ohio!
Here I tried to take a picture of Joels' foot. But I missed as he moved it before it snapped
Erin, Jenna, and Jennifer. Then Mark and Joey. And lastly Joel, asleep under his hoodie
We finally arrived in Morrisburg (Or something like that) around 1 AM in Ohio, where we were residing in Comfort Suites or something. The next morning we left early to the Dayton Convention Center. (sorry its blurry)
In the convention center, we were like the first ones there. We grabbed out tvs, banner, tables, and boxes and carried em up three stories. (With good ol escelators)
The banner. And then the entire booth
Pastor Kelly and Jenna, one of the students with us on the trip.
Joey, doing some... weird pose... imitating his picture on the banner
Some of us, Mark, PK, Joey, and Jennifer
Me pretending to be dead... trying to attract people to pick up the rave cards... didn't work to well (It was all joeys idea! He forced me to do it)
some shots from the third floor down
Some shots of people at our booth. Playing with the imac (using photobooth) See what we did, was we brought PK's imac along with a built in iSight. And we offered to take peoples pictures. But the neat thing is that photobooth lets you distort peoples pictures, so their faces look totally funky. We take em and then email the picture to them. So it was a neat way to attract people. We also had a drawing for a free ipod shuffle for people if they signed up for Masters commisison info
Here is joey, mr. sam, and erin playing with the isight
The Funniest moment. We were eating at ruby tuesdays And like... we were done. So erin got some of her uneaten cole slaw and dumped it on her plate, then randomly started squirting mass amounts of ketchup on it. Me and jenna were laughing so hard and we joined in. At the end, the dish comprised of the following:
MASS ketchup
MASS salt
MASS Pepper
MASS Splenda (the sugar substitute)
Some lettuce
MORE salt
MORE ketchup
MORE pepper
MORE splenda
More lettuce
Hamburget meat
some drops of lemonade and coke
blue cheese
Fries
cheddar cheese
ranch dressing
So after mixing it into one big orangey/pink cole slawwly glob. I said "I'll give 20 dollars to anyone who eats 2 big forkfulls of this" (I was kidding at first) Joey decides to take on the challenge. Needless to say it was an ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS event. He was all almost spewing the food back out of his mouth and stuff XDDD We didn't stop laughing. In the end he said he felt nausiated. So I gave him the 20 dollars
Well, the next say (sunday morning) we get ready to go... 8 hour drive back to maryland >_>;; LOOOTSS of bathroom breaks
And that was it in a nuthshell. Good ol Dayton
