if you had to live your life on only ONE food item...

Talk about anything in here.

if you had to live your life on only ONE food item...

Postby Tenshi no Ai » Fri Feb 10, 2006 11:48 am

What would it be? And it has to be pretty specific. Can't just say "meat" for example, has to be narrowed down to at least something like "pork". If you pick something that can vary in flavors like "pizza" you can just say "pizza" ^^ Get it?

So honestly, if you were stuck on some isolated place and you could ONLY pick ONE source of food to live on for the rest of your life... what would it be?

I'm already thinking something like pizza would actually be good to live on^^ Things like Hawaiian pizzas at least have one thing out of every food group. :/

Chicken. It'd be tough to get sick of chicken, since everything tastes like it anyway.

"Mmm... Tastes like chicken!"

Ramen. So many things one can do with it, variety wouldn't become a problem.

Curried Rice, the good kind with vegetables. As long as I was able to change the spicing and meat in the curry sauce, I could probably deal with eating curried rice the rest of my life.

Well, if it was only one foodstuff, I would say tofu. It has all the major macronutrients: protien, fat, carbohydrates, and fiber; plus vitamins and minerals.

One particular dish? Seared salmon with stir fried brown rice/rice noodles and vegetables. Preferably Thai style green curry with coconut milk.

Senzu beans. Unless there is a kind of food that tastes good and has nutrients and is filling that actually exists in this dimension.

pizza, with steak, pineapple, apple slices, bacon, sausage, ham, lettuce, pepperoni, and potato wedges on it, with a few granola bars on top. i'd disassemble it later, into a variety of meals.

(hey, they can put anything on pizza, right?)

Seriously, I was gonna say that eating only one food would kill you pretty quickly because you'd be missing so many nutrients that your body requires. I'd just pick something I like eating, like french fries, and eat as much as I felt like before I died. XD
Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower:
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.

Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.

High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.
