The Part II thread. Now record your voice saying the words in List 1 or List 2 (preferably both, in separate files).
Don't change the way you say a word because you heard someone else say it differently - we want to hear *your* natural accent!
Save the recording as a compressed format (MP3 or WMA; Ogg is not recommended, because it has less player support). Label the file appropriately as List 1 or List 2. I recommend using Audacity, because then you can cut off the unnessessary silence at the beginning and end and also normalise the sound file, so it is at a decent volume. If you want to save as MP3 with Audacity, you need to download the encoder separately. Both are available at
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/. And finally, upload to some web space somewhere, or use a free one such as
yousendit (these have a time limit of usually 7 days, so hurry while stocks last!).
EDIT: Oh, and say what type of accent you have!

List 2:
Please call Stella. Ask her to bring these things with her from the store: Six spoons of fresh snow peas, five thick slabs of blue cheese, and maybe a snack for her brother Bob. We also need a small plastic snake and a big toy frog for the kids. She can scoop these things into three red bags, and we will go meet her Wednesday at the train station.
