I think her name is Tabitha. The stuck-up wing commander.

I think it's rather interesting that in both Last Exile and Gungrave they have giant
racing chickens.I wonder if that might be a hint that Gungrave might take place on the same planet later on in the time line.Or did the same people make LE and Gungrave and stick the racing chickens in as a injoke in Gungrave.

Actually Gungrave is made by Madhouse, while Last Exile is made by Gonzo . I think both are a reference to Final Fantasy's chocobos. They certainly remind me of them.

No, if I am correct in saying [spoiler]The the basically only fan service scene involves Queen Sophia dressed in her royal gard I believe and Claus. She bends over for some odd reason ::forgets:: exsposing some clevage in which Claus blushes and looks away. Then, as Sophia (or Sophita) is in her royal gard]

As said before, this series is extremely clean save for those few and very brief instances.

That's true Hitokiri. That's the only 'fanservicy bit' but there is also the wife of the commander with a young girl who befriends Alvis a bit in the later episodes. Her mum has a bit low cut top also, but she's in it for all of 2 mins.

Tatiana? That's the one. I didn't think anything happened between Klaus and her in the desert, but he was clearly interested in her. I think he had more respect then that (not to mention he's only 15).

The "every female character (except maybe Delphine) likes Claus" thing was probably the weakest part of the whole series.

Really, it was only Lavie and Tatiana. I don't think Sophia really had any feelings for Claus.

I'd have to agree with CDL...They pretty much lay out Sophie's interest in Alex pretty well.

I don't think it would have worked though since she was the Crown Princess.

I think part of it was because he was tyring to make up for the earlier failure when he was with Labie and Claus' fathers.Survivors Guilt,I would guess.

Check Best Buy. They've got the best prices on anime that I know of.

Best Buy, Sun Coast, or your local retailer. Or you could google it, and at the top of the results page there is a button that says "froogle" that could help you find a legitimate copy from an internet retailer for pretty cheap.

I recommend the Range Murata edition if you can find it. It takes up less space and the cover art is incredible.

Looks like the best deal you could get on the complete collection of Last Exile is $89.99 at Rightstuf. Still, if that's more than you want to pay (which I understand) you might just want to wait a while. Rightstuf, from time to time, runs sales when they take a certain percent off of all the titles by a specific distributor (such as 40% off sale on all their Bandai products right now), and if they run a similar sale on geneon products, like they have before, you could get a pretty impressive deal on it.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

No less than $20, normally (which makes a $68 set that contains discs 1-7 a steal.)
