one homeschooled, country-bound 14-year-old... kheh... most ppl think I have no problems, and no experience. My brother thinks I'm a liar... and everyone underestimates me in some way... and most believe that a 12-14 year-old can't fall in love...
Truth is... MOST think they're in love and turn out just having some silly crush on someone. This has brought most adults to believe that teens CAN'T fall in love.
Well... guess what... It IS possible. AND I'M SICK OF PEOPLE TRYING TO SAY IT'S NOT! So STOP! There's NO logic that says it's not possible. There's NO verse in the BIBLE that says it's not possible. And there's CERTAINLY no scientific PROOF! It's some stupid myth that got started because MOST teens think they're in love and are just crushing.
I, myself, have never claimed to be in love except for LONG after I told Krystal I liked her, then saw my hart even MORE clearly.
I rest my case...
P.S. I don't know or care what all has been said in this topic. I know what's being descussed in here... and I'm not saying ALL adults are jerks like that... just all the ones that I'VE brought it up with...

31Don't ever do anything wrong (well not anything). girls remember things for life and anything you did wrong will be brought back in every argument that you will have in the future.
Hmm...That's going to be tough since it's imposibble to never do anything wrong. Sorry I don't think I'll be able to follow that advice. I can try, but I'm sure I'll fail.
Anyways I don't want to worry to much about this stuff right now. But I do like to look at these types of things so I don't completely embaress myself when I'm older. Well it's to late for that.
O and this post above mine I agree with. Although I don't think I will "fall in love" or what not at this age (maybe) I think he has a very good point. I've always had the same feeling, about things. A huge percentage of people are ageist. If that's even a word.

There is one thing that ultimately the list fails... it demands that you take things into consideration beyond common sense. Some of the things are just too conscious. The intent of dating is to find the opposite gender that will accept your faults, habits, personality glitches, and so forth.
If you can't be yourself around the girl... well... she is better off a friend and not a romantic partner.
Oh and Animemute, don't get so worked up. No one here is belittling you. Don't make vows and definitely don't throw out dating, remain celibate and practice abstinence because you enjoy it. Enjoy being single first, and then you will find joy in being a couple. If you enjoy something, then it is natural to you.
Live your life as you naturally are, and see what God does. God created your nature through his own imprints at birth and those he sent to craft you into his image of you. Simply put, be yourself at all times... no false comforts, masks, ect., and treat all guys as you would a brother.
I treat all women the same so that one day I will be treat one quite differently and be conscious of it.

Oh oh oh, I have one biggie to add to this. Do not ever, ever, EVER say anything about how attractive another woman is. No matter the circumstance. Especially if she starts to worry that you might like someone else, the worst thing to say is, "She's pretty, but she's not you." Because the girl will probably reply, "You're saying I'M not pretty?" Basically, just keep all those thoughts to yourself. Seems like that would be obvious enough, but some guys still seem to have not figured it out.

While this list seems to be of good general use, I think I'll keep to the belief that every woman has her own "list" that is as unique as she is. And that list is best found out by getting to know her personally.

Interesting. Call me old fashioned, but I found "Miss Manner's Guide to Excruciatingly Correct Behavior" to be slightly more informative in the whole how-to-deal-with-women arena (which may be why I havn't had a girlfriend yet). It might be a little archaic but it covered the major ettiquite ideas, apart from either common sense or individual things, and it had lots of good general advice. Plus it had good advice on what dishes to have in a 14 course meal, and how to prepare a proper "high" tea.
Errr, anyway, I read a comment earlier in the thread saying that telling a woman she's beautiful could get old easily. From seeing my parents (and other married couples) I doubt it. My dad tells my mother this at least once a day, and as he means it, it does mean something to her. I figure that, if the comment is heartfelt, it is a good thing to say. Varying what you say might be a good idea, but sticking with good tried-and-true comments that you mean probably isn't a problem either.

I think the only way it can get old is if the guy is known to say it to everyone and about everything. I mean, if that particular adjective is a common one in his vocabulary, she's going to figure it out and won't be flattered when he uses it on her.

You have a point Yumie. I think it depends on how and why the complement is used. My father is a man of few words, so it means a great deal when he tells my mom he loves her, but I am sure that for other people you would need to change what you say regularly. Once again, looks like you just have to play most of this stuff by ear.
