I don't know where your hostility came from but it is sorely misdirected. The ability to kill your own child does not give women an equal footing with men, unless you're looking for the lowest common denominator of equality in barbarism.

As for that small lump of cells, do you realize how quickly it progresses from one cell, to hundreds of cells, to a small human hardly different from you or me except for its helplessness? And during that time it doesn't lack humanity, but is striving to fulfill it with all its being. From the moment of conception it begins that difficult path that we all are still on until our own time to die comes, the path of to complete ourselves.

You are right in one aspect though, women have been victimized by society. The lusts of men have turned them into objects. The lies of society made them insecure about their own bodies. Now the greatest lie yet tells them that by denying their own motherhood, they will attain everything that has ever been taken from them by destroying the greatest thing that has ever been given them.

Right, it is folly to say that a cell is not human just because it has yet to be born. If you don't want a kid, don't do the deed.

i agree. its your fault (besides rape or whatnot) you got pregnant. if you didnt want to have a child in the first place, you shouldnt have done it.

Yeah, I mean, people don't realize how extremely rare stuff like rape iw. Even then, the Bible did not allow for disowning of the child. While I've told my wife that it would take an act of God to keep me from slaying any man who rapes her, she's said that she would still be willing to bare a child that results from such circumstances. A child is a child, in spite of how his life starts because God willed him into life.

and plus, abortion is not the only way. you can put the child up for adoption or foster care or something until you feel ready to take care of it.

Yes cases such as pregnancy by rape are a very small percentage of abortions. We're living in the 21st Century there are plenty of support services for women with unplanned pregnancies that can provide assistance without resorting to abortion. Of course there are cases where abortions are performed because the life of the mother and the baby is in danger, I can't remember what such a case is called, but those are even rarer to the point where they're probably neglible. I don't think I could judge those mothers or those abortions though so I won't.

One thing people get caught up on that's not right is this attitude that it's either the life of the mother or the life of the baby in these situations. Why not both? We should all have an attitude that is looking out for both instead of acting like it's a choice between one or the other.

Well, it is the decision of one or the other in that case. Doctors have yet to find a way to save a woman whose fertilized egg has implanted itself where it shouldn't be. But again, that very rarely happens.

Anyways, from what I heard, the March for Life here in CA didn't go all too peacefully. While the pro-lifers didn't cause any trouble, the police had to move in to watch the pro-choice group who were shouting for the marchers to leave. Apparently, a number of those people also planned to use water baloons filled with red paint on the marchers.

Sad how the world claims that all views should be accepted but then attacks when the truth is told.

I have heard of cases where doctors have tried to fix ectopic pregnancies, though I'm unaware whether or not it has ever been successful. It still remains though that the effort was made to save the child.

of course. I doubt it will be long before they develop a successful method.
