See those White areas in my picture? Using the layers, how can I make that the Background, so that I may color the background with messing up my character?

I think that you could select all the white with the magic wand and delete it, then make a new layer and put it behind all the other layers. Otherwise, I really dunno what to do.

yes, use the wand to select them all. or even better, go to Channels, click that little dotted circle on the bottom, and press Delete. It'll delete all the white things. then click preserve transparency...

but you already coloured it in. so i don't know. maybe magic wand in the easy way. you could try using other tools, but still.
