-Dragon Drive-

Postby CrimsonRyu17 » Fri Dec 16, 2005 4:09 pm

well, I've been watching a preview of this, and it looks really good to me. has anyone else seen it? heres a sum of what its about =

Alternative title:
ドラゴンドライブ (Japanese)

Age rating: Older Children (May contain mild bad language, bloodless violence)
Genres: Adventure, Fantasy, Science Fiction, Shounen

Plot Summary: Oozora Reiji isn't a lazy boy, he's just terribly unmotivated; all the clubs and activities he's joined don't interest him for long. That is, of course, until his best friend Yukino takes him to a underground arcade where an unbelievable virtual reality game is played - Dragon Drive - in which players fight each other with virtual dragons. Reiji ends up throwing all he's got into training a dragon so rare that the Dragon Drive staff are baffled. But soon Reiji learns that Dragon Drive isn't all it seems, and he might be the only one who can save an entire world from evil.

I'm really interested in this 'cause I love dragons, but can anyone give me any advice on what you think and has anyone else seen it?

I watched it waaaaay back before it was licensed and still airing on JPN TV.
I expected it to be the whole thing about virtual dragon battles (which is what Bandai makes the previews look like >_<) Sort of reminds me of Digimon 02 if anything. I thought it was interesting cause it was about dragons too and they sure have interesting designs^^
Overall, I say it was a decent show. Worth a look at but nothing OVER the top, but still something to watch.

*siigh* I haven't watched this because a manga idea that I had (before even hearing about this show) was so similar to it..it made me angry.... (only mine wasn't in a vitural world and it was about dragan racing (also before I even heard about Dragon Booster too...)

It did look cute though..

Although that's not even what the show's about, as I briefly mentioned on my post (even though I typed that up some time ago^^). If anything, it's more like Digimon. I mean the virtual battles only last for a few eps, but the rest of the show takes place in another world, where the dragons actually live and people ride them and stuff, and they were the chosen ones to help save the world and so forth...
