What is your favorite theme song for an anime?

For me, since I only watch dubs, I have to say it`s a tie between Full Metal Alchemist and Samurai Champloo. FMA is wicked catchy and SC has a sweet beat. All SC lacks is another rapper with a deep voice.

Yeah Sakura Saku is a notoriously catchy tune... it's my cell phone ringer.

I like the theme song to Stellvia of the Universe a lot, Ashita no Brilliant Road

Well the ending is clearly J-Pop and I prefer rap over girls singing since I`m a guy.
I mean guys can like J-Pop and I am aware of that, but that`s just my opinion.

EDIT: I knew it would all be anime I`ve never heard of.

Give me "Ready, Steady, Go!" anyday! It's perfect driving music! Though I do tend to get some odd looks when my windows are rolled down and I'm singing at full volume--I wonder why? Haven't they ever seen a black dude in an Acura singing an anime theme song?

The original version of Obsession is great, but I love the Instrumental/Classical version with the Orchestra. It's GREAT! If you ever get the chance to download it it's called "Obsession (Strings Version)" It's SO COOL!

So many good ones... Cowboy Bebop might be my favorite; both the opening and closing were great. I also like Champloo's theme, and FMA has some good ones as well. "Fly Me to the Moon" was ingenious as a closer. The themes for Noir and Paranoia Agent, as well as "Hemisphere" (RahXephon) and "Ride on Shooting Star" (FLCL) get honorable mentions as well.
Theme Scripture: Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)

And a verse for all us single folks: Do we have no right to take along a believing wife, as do also the other apostles, the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas? (1 Corinthians 9:5)

Grr, this is too hard. I guess I've always liked "Through the Night", which is the opening to Outlaw Star. FLCL's ending theme "Ride on Shooting Star" is also great.

I know some FMWS fans are going to wonder what's wrong with me...

But my favorite anime theme song is "Eternal Snow" from Full Moon wo Sagashite. I like the meaning of the song...it's touching, and I never really did get tired of hearing it.

"Tank!" and "Ride On Shooting Star" are both great, of course, but I also love "Midnight Blue," the closing theme to Patlabor: The Series. It's an awsome, slightly retro, rock song.

I'd have to say that "Ready, Steady, Go!" from FMA and "Reckless Fire" from s-CRY-ed are my favorites. Though, "Drastic my Soul" (s-CRY-ed) is cool too. And Every Heart (Inuyasha) is second. I like a lot of Inuyasha's closing themes, though I can't recall the names of them. >.<

I also like "Gravity" from WR. And "Rhythm Emotion" (GW).

"Inner Universe" from Ghost in the Shell is good, but all of the songs on Ghost in the Shell OST are great in my opinion.

Inuyasha has some great theme songs too. "Shinjutsu no Uta", "Come","Fukai Mori"

"Ready, Steady. Go" from FMA. It's one of those songs you just can't get out of your head.

Samurai Champloo <3 "Shiki no Uta"
