I agree on Cowboy Bebop, sCRYed, Tenchi Univers/Muyo, and Gundam Wing. I think Wolf's Rain had a good ending as well. I can't think of any others right now, plus, I have to go. Piano lesson.

Very rarely does an anime have a good ending. I disagree with Sailor Moon S, though. Chibiusa came back. That's the worst ending they could've done.

Magic Knight Rayearth (1st series) had, in my opinion, the best ending of any anime. I mean, they seriously could not have done a better job with that than they did. That whole last episode was like a kick in the face. It ruled.

The ending of Full Moon wo Sagashite was also pretty good. If nothing else, it wasn't quite so cliched as most endings of that type.

There's probably more, I'll have to go look them up.

Also, the ending of the first series of Those Who Hunt Elves. It was awesomely hilarious.

If Xephon had an understandable ending, it might be good...

Full Moon wo Sagashite was immensely fulfilling for me. It stands out most boldly in my mind.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Last Exile, Noir, Scrapped Princess, and Full Moon O Sagashite are endings that ENDED without leaving you feeling like too much was left unexplained. Those are the only ones that come to mind off the top of my head. I'd include Cowboy Bebop except I hated what happened to one of the main characters in the end!

I would have to say Maison Ikkoku had the best ending to an anime series I have ever watched.

Didn't Tenchi Muyo not even HAVE an ending, unless your referring to the end of the new 3rd OVA?

my favorite endings are...

Magic Knight Rayearth Season 1
Sailor Moon Sailor Stars (Best ending EVER!)
Yugioh DM
Slayers Next
Revolutionary Girl Utena
Magical Project S
Xenosaga the animation
Jessie and James, together forever!

AAML forever!

Colorado is EVIL!! Save me!!

Confused about the meaning of the screen name??

Best Endings? I'd have to say Noir, R.O.D., Escaflowne, Witch Hunter Robin, and RahXephon. Yeah, RahXephon's last couple episodes are pretty much unintelligable, but I thought the ending was good, even if it left you wondering what the series was actually about.

Inuyasha?! Good ending? XDDDD *falls over laughing*

ehem...

Haibane Renmei.. Omigosh I cried buckets but it turned out so good
Cowboy Bebop: hated what happened but it was really the perfect ending.
Scrapped Princess: The twist was great
Fullmoon wo Sagashite
Last EXILE was okay but it was a little bit confusing

I liked the ending to RahXephon too, though I agreed it didn't shed much light on the whole story. Without doing any spoilers, I've got to say I laughed at the baby in the end. I found that a little weird, but not too much so (I hope that sentence is clear enough without giving anything away).

Maybe its just me, but I quite liked the ending to Trigun. I don't think I've seen it mentioned yet in this thread.

Cool, I'm not the only one. While it left some things open to speculation, I thought it was a good way end that series.

Let's see.

Cowboy Bebop is first on the list. The last two episodes STILL give me chills. :D

Air comes next. GAH, love it. Love it, love it, love it.

Magic Knight Rayearth I has a MOST fantastic ending. It's so unexpected, and so well done. :D MKR II; however, leaves something to be desired, I thought. Still good, though.

I liked Trigun's ending. Good form, I say. ;D

Inuyasha

InuYasha? Ending? I'm beginning to wonder if there IS one. XD

As for s-CRY-ed...Guh. I spent 26 weeks watching that show every Saturday, and they gave me THAT ending. XD I'm still sad about
Cougar. And Kimishima. And Ayase. And like, everyone else that died...>.>
Cowboy Bebop definitely has one of the better endings that I have seen.

The Vampire Princess Miyu TV series had an ending that was fairly disturbing but also very well done. This series was highly episodic in places, but the last several episodes were excellent.

Millennium Actress and Gunslinger Girl both had very touching endings, particularly the latter; the use of Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" in Gunslinger Girl was very fitting.

Lousy anticipating ending >_< I'm sorry, but it was pretty bad! I thought it would be some spectacular thing but apparently there was no more budget (so I'm assuming).
I bet ya anything those fans that ONLY know Inuyasha off CN will "wait for new eps" when they play the actual ending. Sitting there thinking "I thought they were showing new eps... why did the series start all over again?"
Oy... -_-;

I have many favorite endings of anime, but the ending to Jin-Roh really nailed it for me. The last few minutes of the movie was something I would remember for a long time, even though I've seen it just once.
