The Lord is my Programer, I Shall Not Crash

Postby CobaltAngel » Sat Dec 20, 2003 7:42 am

It found this on my computer the other day, and thought it was cool. Yes, I have lots of weird stuff on my computer. ^^;;;

The Lord is my programer, I shall not crash.
He installed his software on the hard disk of my heart,
all of his commands are user-friendly.
His directory guides me to the right choices for his
names sake. Even though I scroll through the problems
of life, I will fear no bugs or viruses, for he is my
backup. His password protects me. He prepares a menu
before me in the presence of my enemies.
His help is only a keystroke away.
Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all of the days
of my life, and my file will be merged with his and
saved forever. Amen.

BOOSTER: Hey, No.1! Where's my cake?!
SNIFIT 1: Booster, Sir! There's a 70% chance the object you're standing on is a cake.
BOOSTER: What? THIS thing's a cake?

(in response to an interview question "Do you have a pet peeve having to do with this biz?")
People who write below their abilities in order to crank out tons of books and make a buck. Especially Christian authors who do that. Outsiders judge us for it, and make fun of us for it, and it makes Jesus look bad. We of all artists on earth should be the most concerned with doing our best possible work at all times. We of all people should write with all our hearts, as if writing for the Lord and not for men.

Cool

I have often thought about the God/programmer analogy myself. Matrix, and all that...

OldPhil originally posted the pizza trophy pic in my "Melody tries to draw herself!" thread; I just decided to reuse it here, is all. You'll have to ask him where he got it from; I have no idea.

The good man made it. In M$ paint, I think.

I remembered that detail as well, just didn't mention it. It was a great moment in CAA. Myself, I want to know how to cast despite at something...
