New one world religion

Postby Artist4Jesus89 » Tue Dec 27, 2005 10:58 am

Hey all theres a new religion read their doctrines (also told of in the bible)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The following 12 "principles" are frequently listed as a quick summary of the Bahá'í teachings. They are derived from transcripts of speeches given by `Abdu'l-Bahá during his tour of Europe and North America in 1912. The list is not authoritative and a variety of such lists circulate.

The Oneness of God
The Oneness of religion
The Oneness of mankind
Gender Equality
Elimination of all forms of prejudice
World peace
Harmony of religion and science
Independent investigation of truth
The need for universal compulsory education
The need for a universal auxiliary language
Obedience to government and non-involvement in politics
Elimination of extremes of wealth and poverty
The first three of this list are commonly referred to as the Three Onenesses, and form a fundamental part of Bahá'í beliefs.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

2 Timothy 4:3

I don't put much stock in these ecumenical movements. It will fail, just like all previous attempts at establishing an earthly utopia.

The Oneness of religion

There is a MAJOR problem with the "oneness of religion" It's that nearly every religion is exclusive. And the Bahá'í faith actually excludes the exclucivists

when the quran says that "Allah is one, not triune" or whatever, and we believe in the trinity. Those are contradiction statements.

Some people say "BOTH Hinduism AND Christianity are both correct, even if the scriptures contradict each other" (Dialectical Logic aka the BOTH/AND thinking)

The problem with the dialectical logical thinking is that you demand the use of the Law of Noncontradiction (AKA the Either/Or logical thinking). "EITHER I use the BOTH/AND method, OR nothing else" another way to put it is "Can I use BOTH the BOTH/AND method AND the EITHER/OR?" No! You cannot prove the BOTH/AND without an EITHER/OR! And to use an EITHER/OR means you contradict yourself.

Therefore the Bahá'í faith CANNOT work because 1. Each religion contradicts itself in some way, shape or form and 2. If you try to let contradictions slide with the BOTH/AND logical thinking, you kill yourself. (Meaning, you cant use the BOTH/AND thinking) Attempting to be inclusive with everything exclusive does not work.

As of this moment, without Jesus Christ, there is NO shread of hope of religious harmony, especially when every religion is exclusive in some way. I mean yes you hear Hindus talking about "oh its okay, we all go to the same Heaven anyway" but they actually will allow you to do your religion as long as it follows their notion of truth. Recall that Buddhism was a Siddhartha's rejection to Buddhism.

It's not new, but it is more recent than others such as Christianity, Islam, and Buddhism. There has been a Baha'i temple in Chicago for a while.

Yeah, according to wikipedia, it was founded in the 1800s, so, it isn't really NEW, but it's certainly more recent than most religions.

Most people weasel out of affirming one side or another by saying they're "equally true" - because it's a way of saying they're equally false without getting into an argument.

Me, I'm honest. If someone is full of sh*t, I'll tell them that.
The cake used to be a lie like you, but then it took a portal to the deception core.

Heh. NO! We're not going down this path. Some people consider them friends, some people consider them foes. If you are really intersted, read about it at the library. Be sure to look up people that are FOR and people that are AGAINST them. Make your own decision, but don't go and call them "full of sh*t" on this website. Kaligraphic, you've earned a strike. Thread locked before we get farther out of hand.
