Placing the curiosity that that post brings up aside (but not discarding it), meeting people online should be rather common by now, so I don’t think it’s strange or weird to meet a special someone online at all.
I think it would be hard to have serious relationship that develops wholly online, but that relationship could certainly start out that way. Why not?
