Who is going to ohayocon

As the title states who is going to ohayocon? And also if you cosplay what are you going as?

I shall be going all three days, and unless something happens I will be cosplaying as illapalazo from excel saga. If you see me say hello!

Also I shall be taking many many pictures and I shall scan and post quite a few.

I went to Ohayocon last year... my very first anime convention!! I had a hard time keeping my jaw from hanging open and my eyes from bugging out! I'm really hoping to get to go again this year, though it will probably just be during the day on Saturday. And, no, I'm much too old and chicken to cosplay!

(When and where is this? I've been wanting to go to an anime con, but the one in my area ends the day before my speech and debate leage's national tournament, and I kinda sorta want to go to Nats as well.)

Thanks for the link, desperado. I hadn't thought about registering yet. Except I notice that there is no one-day rate this year! Yikes! $40 seems kind of steep to go for just one afternoon. (But, yah, I'll pay it! ) Perhaps I'll see you there! I already have plans to meet someone from my cel collector's forum there... it would be awesome to meet 2 internet anime people in the flesh! (And, c'mon Mr. Smartypants, you know you want to go! How can you resist something with a name like "Ohayocon"?? )

Ok,to be serious now.Wasn't it the Ohayocon where they had the infamous encounter between the Christian Teen Con and the Otakus involving some rather nastiness by the 'Christian' group that finally was mitigated by the presence and meidation of Vic Mignona?

I do beleive it was. Last year there was a huge convention and I dont really know VA names besides vics (due to reacent events), and then I was still new to anime so Im not for sure. But I do know the people at the other con were quite nasty at first then made a huge turnaround.

It just happens to be a week befor I am back in the midwest, so I cannot go.

I certainly wasn't there for a long time, but while I was at Ohayocon last year, the only nastiness I saw was from the cosplayers toward the Christian kids. Unfortunately, I'm sure there was plenty of blame to go around on both sides.
