Are you a "Neat Freak?"

Postby Wakarimashta! » Sun Nov 27, 2005 11:16 am

I was wondering if any of you are considered neat-freaks, in that you much prefer to keep things clean and in order.

Whenever my room is a mess, I often go bonkers and clean it up as neatly as possible. This includes having my bed sheets put on perfectly, making sure the floor is perfectly spotless and having my DVD's\CD's on the shelf in order. I let certain things slide depending on my mood, but I usually function better when my environment isn't dirty.

With some things oddly enough. Like when I was in school, my desk was always like...perfect. Everything in its spot. My room though? Looks like a tornado tore through. At work, I often am known for being very picky about what goes where...I am selective in my neat freakness I guess.

I am a rather all or nothing personality. Balance eludes me much of the time. So it is either a complete disaster (like it is now) or I will keep it spotless for... a week. I have so many other things to do, I just don't have time for house work. Or appartment work, or room work, or (ha) car cleanings.

My room goes back and forth between messy and slightly neat so, no, I am definitely not a neat freak. I usually tidy up when I get too irritated with the mess or when I know one of my friends is coming over. I do organize some things though. My PS2 games are all alphebetized, and my anime dvds are sort of alphebetized. My regular movies ,on the other hand, aren't really in any sort of order at all, but at least they're on the shelves. My manga are sort of organized, in that I try to keep all the books from the same series together and in the right order by volume number.

I go through neat cycles. Sometimes all I want to do is clean, and sometimes I absolutely do not want to do it.

I'm a neat freak...if I'm in the mood.

For the most part, I try to keep my room as tidy as possible.

But then, there are some days where my room looks like somebody threw a grenade in there.

My room needs to be clean because it's so small. I can't stand a messy kitchen. And all my books and manga have to be in perfect order. My posters in my room are like place on a grid. All squared away.

Maybe I am a bit of a neat freak...

place all my books, comics and mangas according to series(I'll do same with my DVD as soon as I get more than one from each). On the other hand
I just let the dust accumulate and dust and vaccuum every so often.Actually I do need a file cabinet to put all of my banking material.(Stuff you get from the bank) :jump:

That's about how I am. My room oftentimes looks terrible, a pigstye, tornado-torn, etc. But there are some things, like my desk, my binder, sometimes my locker, my files on the comp, my notes, drawings, comp things and a few other things that I have to have neat and orderly.

I'm selectively neat. My desk, room, and locker are in a constant state of disorder, and when I do clean them...well, they're messy by the next day. It's entropy at its finest.

On the other hand, I'm very picky about keeping my bag clean, and I'm VERY organized with files on my computer. XD I have a folder for everything. I can be neat with my bookshelf as well - I arrange things when I'm in the mood, but when I'm not it's just as messy as the rest of my room. =3

I'm a proud owner of a "disorder" known as "OCD".

My room tends to be in its "Organized Mess" mode, though...

I'm a slob. Not a dirty, there's-something-rotting-under-my-bed-and-for-the-love-of-all-good-things-don't-open-that-pizza-box kind of slob, but most of the time (save my books, dvds and games) everything in my living area looks like it was tipped upside down and dumped.

Lol, I'm not a neat freak at all. Sometimes I wish I would tidy things up sooner, before it gets to the point of not being able to go about my daily tasks, lol.

I am a neat freak to the point of weirdness. Never got in trouble for a messy room. Dusting is perhaps my worst problem, but that's not even bad.

I think I have messyphobia.

Oh, wait... My car is NASTY inside. That's the place I let my messy side out. So, maybe I'm not so bad after all?

I do the same with my DVDs of the same series. Unfortunately, when I type my DVDs into my inventory database, it gets the series out of order.

Silly alphabetical order... ;)

Well, Mt. Dew is a pepsi product :)

My room is not messy but not too neat either. It's kept up but there a few things lying around. About once every month and half I'll clean what needs to be cleaned and try to find other ways to condense my stuff. I like having more open space.
