allergies advice?

No I haven't gone to a doctor/specialist yet, so checking here if anyone's had the same experience or might know what I'm looking for (and I know there's at least ONE doctor on this mb... not sure what kind though :/)

Anyways here's a bit of background info first...

I realize I have sensitive skin from the time I would pick up my (late) hedgehog and it would be sort of red on my hands, and still have the sensation that I was touching her. Same thing happened when I handed a small pine tree/hedge thing, and more recently if I sit on dead, pokey grass in the summer, I get the red marks all up and down my legs :/ Not really itchy, just a sort of tingy sensation and goes away really quickly.

Now here's my recent issue...

I've been using hand lotion for a number of years, just before I go to bed to make my hands smooth (used to have REALLY dry skin). In the past couple months, I changed brands to a non-well known brand and little bumps in different places would show up on my hands :/ If I pop them, a little drip of water comes out :/ It was suggested I "don't put on as much" but that makes no differences. Then I changed back to the brands I normally use and suddenly the same occurance would happen! Switched BACK to the cheaper one, and only occasionly it would happen now. Some brands would make a little clump, others would be scattered (yes I know it sounds kinda gross but hey, I'm trying to be thourough about it!) Now once again I went back to the "intensive care" lotion, since my hands are getting dry from the outside cold and guess what? They're baaaAAAAaaack! Yes they sometimes itch and I'm really bad for resisting^^

*sigh* Yeah wondering if someone else has had the same experience and what I'd most want to know, the INGREDIENT that's making it this way! My hands are still dry from the winter, so I'm really wanting to find one that won't effect me v_v Help pwease? (if possible...)

well i get the same reaction from pine trees.... imagine me and christmas tree decorating,,,, pain pain pain.

haha funny story... my dad made a princess bed... it was awsome. When he had finished he asked me to sand it for him. I did and well i am so alergic to my own bed i cant touch the wood when i sleep. I break out in a mad rash like yours. I rub aloe cream on it... and it was gone after a day or so.

i vote a great aloe cream... it heals and sooths and smooths your skin at the same time.

Hm maybe aloe...

I know one of the lotions I used was called "mango vera" which smelled good and had aloe it it... worked good for a couple years but unfortunately, it effected me too >_< Grr...

I'm beginning to think it's maybe the "perfume" scented stuff they put in there... but even when I use this one kind which doesn't smell too appealing, same thing :/ Oy...

Well, at least I'm not allergic to cats like I was supposed to apparently :/ (Cause allergies are genetic supposingly)

I have had sever allergies all my life, to anything and everything. First some allergies dissapate with age and some worsen with age, it seems like you are starting to get some bad allergic reactions.
First DO NOT use any type of skin lotion that has a artificial smell or coloring. Many times people are allergic to the chemicals they dump into that stuff to make them look and smell good. The problem also may be in your laundrey, try using a non smell non chemically as possible laundry soap. May want to do the same for your soap you use in the shower.
But on a side not allergies are worse this year then they have ever been. Mold was unnatuarly high so were pollens for the outside. Now that it is winter expect dustmites (dander so that may be why your hedgehog caused you to break out, same thing with cats and their licking themselves causes stuff to grow on it faster) and mold.
Change up what you use, treat your skin by keeping it away from fires and away from grass. NEVER sit on grass anytime, its just asking for it. And yes allergies are genetic they have been in the last five generations of my family and that is back as far as anyone can remeber.

Do they look like bubbles on the skin? If so, it's probably dermatitis. I had some of it myself after using bath crystals for a few days. I highly recommend aloe vera gel. Works wonders.

mechana2015: Does that answer your question?

K. Ayato: Perfectly.
