companies you own most DVDs from?

Postby Tenshi no Ai » Wed Nov 23, 2005 9:18 am

K, so what company of DVDs do you own that's more than any out of your whole collection? (Single DVDs count as 1 as do boxsets, because it's one purchase). Yeah... kinda a hard way to try and word things, but hopefully you'll get my drift^^ I tried to choose the biggest companies that have a large amount of DVD numbers... anything else would be "other".

My collection consists of 14 Pioneer/Geneon at the top, but ADV wins this round with 16!

(BTW, when I say "Manga" I mean the DVD company, NOT the books :/)
So one vote minus for Manga, and added to "Other".

I own far more manga then anime, so that's what I voted. But a good 1/2 or so of my anime DVDs are Funimation.

Viz,actually I have 8 DVDs total so far and right now it's a tie between
Viz and Bandai with two each but there wasn't a place for a tie.

I have a fairly equal amount of Geneon and ADV titles, though I lean more towards Geneon DVD's. My boxsets, however, consist mostly of ADV shows and non of Geneon.

Of course, it doesn't mean that I side with any one of them - most of the shows I like just happen to be distributed by those companies.

I think MADMAN is pretty much the only distributor for Australia, so its MADMAN for me.

Viz and/or AnimEigo. Probably AnimEigo though.

Most of mine are ADV but Bandai is a close second.

It would definitely have to be ADV, but Bandai ties in to a very close second.

ADV easy. I have the complete seasons of Orphen, Nadesico, Full Metal Panic, Nadesico the movie. I also have some Bandai, Please Teacher, Gundam 08th MS Team, Gundam Wing the movie and volume 10.

I am gonna have to go with ADV. I am soon going to add another of their box sets to my collection.

They've been importing an awful lot Madman DVDs to South Africa lately. They don't always work on some DVDs (mine included) but they are widely available.

Currently ADV. Funimation may take the top spot eventually due to DBZ, and especially when I start collecting Conan and Lupin III.
