those girls can sure pass off as anime fans cosplaying SuperGals! I mean, look at those erm...what you call em...high boots??!

Actually I know very little about techno, I've only listened to ATB, Robert Miles, Raze, Two-Mix and DJ Andy Hunter (?? the supposed acclaimed Christian techno artist or something like that) Pardon me if somehow these names don't even fit the genre you're talking about, I need education! ;) What makes rave....rave? And what about all the different other styles like erm...'techno,' 'dance,'....stuff that Kylie Minogue does? Robert Miles, ATB, Raze? 0.o

That's a pretty good description actually about this genre of music. Thanks!

wow a club?? :thumb: just make sure you're strict with your rules coz there's good reason parents don't like their kids going there.

I almost did get into such a place but the dud and his gang in front of me in the line kept insulting my guy friend. My guy friend is a quiet and unoffensive type so I didn't understand why they kept picking on him. :eyebrow: I think the dud was drunk and trying to 'show off' how cool he was and how my buddy wasn't. I ignored him and he kinda got mad, calling me boring and stuff like that :stressed:. I walked away. Now if I met ppl like our members in CAA in clubs, I won't mind at all. ;)

Pls don't mind me sharing this, there's got to be some decent clubs out there...but for now, I'll experiment with music in the comfort of my home.

I'll be checking out different musics that you've mentioned when I have the time...I'm surprised you mentioned Ayumi Hamasaki (Jpop!)...I'm not really a fan of her, but I listen to Globe, P- Graffitti (their name's awful but their music is clean and fun), Two Mix, V6 but I think like what you say, they're more pop techno styled.

Do you like techno remixes? 0.o I know there's a lot of them in Jpop...Ayumi has like a thousand remixes by now.

Hey, techno is awesome! I'm a big techno listener, and whenever I go to dances and clubs and stuff, I love to rave and breakdance. Best wishes to you on starting up the club! :thumb:

First of all, pop music is NOT proper dance music. It does get played in clubs here, but those are usually the cheesier venues.

There are a lot of dance music sites on the internet. One I can recommend here is Christian

http://www.tastyfresh.com <---- brilliant site

Over here in europe + the UK we don't tend to use the term "rave" - it usually refers to an illegal party held in a field in the middle of nowhere, in which lots of pills are consumed. There are a LOT of clubs here though, which cater to a wide range of different types of dance music (house, trance, drum+bass, rnb are the main ones at the moment)

There was a club in Manchester called "Ascension" which recently closed down - this was headed up by Cameron (ex member of the Tribe). It was pretty nice, their business crashed though, so they had to cease trading. This happens a lot especially at the moment.

If you ever come and visit the UK you will find an extremely diverse music scene. Pretty much anyone over the age of 18 and in higher education will not be listening to pop music (this is very often frowned upon). Quite a few genres of dance music have been invented in the UK. For example: jungle, drum and bass, and two-step - originating from the cities of London and Bristol. Interestingly, jungle music propogated to Japan very early on (Avex), and so it must have had an interesting effect on their music scene at that point.

The Trance genre and all its subgenres came from Europe originally. House music pretty much started off in America.
