LEGO Armoured Personnel Carrier

Postby Sammy Boy » Tue Nov 01, 2005 2:06 am

Hi guys,

I have finally gotten around to posting pictures of my LEGO APC.

You can see the pictures here:

Have a go at making stuff out of LEGO, it's really quite fun!

Cheers. :)

Great to see the LEGO love, despite the company's current idiocy. As for the model, I think it's great. Great color coordination! My only suggestion would be a bit of texture, so to speak, on the sides. They're pretty bare. But that's all...nice model!

That's cool! It's nice to see some good lego work. That's nicely made. I feel like going and diving into the huge lego pool in the other room now. ^^

Thanks for the comments people!

The main reason I wanted to share with you guys my LEGO stuff was because for myself I've found that it's a great way for me to relax after spending long hours in front of the computer. I was hoping this would excite you enough to try making something of your own using LEGO.

Godly Paladin - you're right about my APC being a bit bare .. it lacks visual eye candy (or what is known as "greebles"). Hopefully as I get more experience building stuff I will learn how to make it more visually interesting.

Cheers. :)

I lost all my legos. *sigh*

I always wanted to take up model railroading though and construct vast landscapes for my trains to drive though. Oh well....

That looks awesome! Great job :thumb:.

It reminds me of the Yellow Comet APC in the video game series, Advance Wars.

Puguni - do you still happen to remember how to make that LEGO pikachu? If so .. perhaps you could make one and show us. :)

Godly Paladin - actually I'm a newbie (if you exclude the years I spent with it as a kid). I stopped doing stuff with LEGO for a while. This is the period that LEGO fans call "the dark ages". LOL.

The attention to detail on mine is quite sparse compared to some of the other LEGO fans out there. I hope to build more detailed models in the near future.

Mr SmartyPants - yeh a lot of LEGO fans like to make Star Wars models not released by the LEGO company itself. Perhaps you could take some shots of your model and post it for us.

Cheers!

Lego is one of the best things ever! Ah, the memories. Great tank Ultra, but what really interested me was the short story/description above the images. Very cool - and much better than the Left Behind series version.

Long live Lego!
