According to the Dead People Server:

Sir Ian McKellen (great actor) -- Alive. Born May 25, 1939. Until recently, an extremely underappreciated actor, who is magnificent in, among other things, Gods and Monsters, Lord of the Rings, and X-Men.

EDIT: Yes, there is such a thing as the Dead People Server...;)

Although new entries do take a bit to update, as is my understanding.

Ya know, I'd never noticed that the actor who played Magneto and Gandalf were the same. I wondered why he looked so familiar! For some reason, I am reminded of Patrick Steward when I look at him though...I don't know why. Anyway, glad he's still alive.

People keep getting "Gandalf" mixed up with "Dumbledore" who is the wizard-playing actor who died (Richard Harris) not Sir Ian McKellen.
