Help! - Advice on how to publish

Can Anyone give me a crash course on how to publish a book? I'm sorta planning one.. it's a long story and I don't have the time at teh moment. Oh I won't be back pretty often though but please give any tips if you're not busy or anything. Thanks. God Bless all of you.

P.S. I might be back by December or anytime this winter whenver I'm not busy with school.

Let's see now...I don't know much about book publishing but what about calling around in the yellow pages phone books? Maybe there is some sort of book publishing store you can go to. Sorry, this is my best advice. ^^;;;

How do you want to publish? There are two major ways:

1. Self Publish. A friend of mine did this once, but he didn't have a great distribution method in place. He's still got a bunch of his books.
2. Industry Publish. If you want to go this route, you'll need to get your manuscript into the right hands. Many good publishing periodicals will give good advice on this one.

Finally, I'm going to change your topic. People who know the drill may not respond to the title of "Help!"

Hehe. Well I timed myself but I managed to go online today. I can't get to teh yellow pages. I'm in Saudi Arabia. Maybe I'll publish it when I get home.

If you go to any local bookstore, you should be able find plenty of books on the very subject of getting your own book published.
