The end is cute. And Junior gets his hair cut, but it doesn't show tho. I hope they make a new show with the paper sisters in it.

I want to see the R.O.D movie

I enjoy the series, though I'm not through it yet. I think it's well written and interesting, especially in the ways the different papermasters use paper. Makes me appreciate paper cuts more...

...not really. But I do like the anime.

Yeah, i kinda figured since Nennene, windy and uhh what's her name looked younger. i just happen to see R.O.D the tv on Anime Unleashed on tv. and then i looked it up on the internet and i saw there is a movie.

I guess it's exciting to see it backwards, i mean I baught Final Fantasy X-2 before any of the others one. well it's the only Final Fantasy i have lol.

It's actually a 3 episode OVA released on a single disc.

I'm a big fan of the show. I'm working on a review of it now. The fight in episode 13 (I think that's it) is one of the most creative fights in all of anime IMHO. Personally, I was slightly disappointed at the end of the show. Not because they did anything poorly, but I saw so much untapped potential. The ending is open enough to allow for another installment though.

I think it's called Twilight of the Paper Sisters. It's a two parter, and it's the fight in the second part that I really like.

There's some objectionable stuff, but overall it's a pretty clean series with a few exceptions. The opening credits are done in a kind of James bond style (think From Russia With Love) with some of the credits being projected onto the silhouette of a naked woman (she covers her chest with her hands anytime you would be able to see it). Skipping the credits is easy enough. In episode 9 there is a scene of prolonged nudity in an underground hotspring. It's the only case of any such nudity, but it's really blatant (though non-sexual). Some of the friendships among the women look like they could could be more than that, but they pretty much go out of their way to explain that they're not. The picture galleries in the DVD's extras usually have one provacative picture in with the rest. There's a little bit of language, but it's pretty much par for the stuff that comes out now.

That was the one they used to introduce Drake into the tv series.
If you have watched the ep. of FMA where they introduce Sciezka
you will have noticed that her apartment looks a bit similiar to
Yomiko's in that they both have books literally lying around everywhere.

The two-parter's translated as "Twilight of the Paper," but the word for paper is "kami," which can also mean god(s) (i.e., "Twilight of the Gods"). Kind of a bit of linguistic humor, though possibly unintentional.

As for the show itself, it is easily one of my two favorites of all the ones I've seen (Inuyasha being the other).

In all life, thou livest, the true life of all.
We blossom and flourish as leaves on a tree
And wither and perish, but naught changeth thee.

next she can be such a airhead!
Needless to say she's also my favorite of the three paper sisters. :thumb:

It was intentional. They use the same kind of pun later in the series as well.

My favorite sister is actually Maggie, she seems to be the reliable one, and because of her part in "Twilight of the Paper."

Personally, I have to agree with mitsuki lover--my favorite sister is Michelle, for the personality reasons he listed, and because she's got long hair (yeah, I'm superficial like that). She's also the sweetest of the three, in my opinion--and the English VA really makes this come through. Lastly, she's also the most excitable about books ("AH! Bram Stoker's Dracula! You simply must get a copy when you go to Romania!" as she says in one episode).

I tend to think I'm most like Maggie, but I like Michelle the most.
