According to this site, numerous biologists and wildlife agents have tried to tame these cats, but can't, even though they are closely related they are to house cats.

The cats can interbreed with domesticated cats, and they are widely acknowledged as being the stock from which housecats were bred.

They are nocturnal.

Kinda a werid thoguht that Australia doesn't have any native cats... cept the wirld feral ones (the things you learn off Croc Hunter! Guess the show got cancelled though :/)

Wow, the second cat looks much like my cat :)

I can see why they are a common stock from which house cat are breed, many cats seem to have smiliar strips/markings on their faces and bodies. Cats are pretty cool.

Though personally, wolves are pretty cool too. I was told that once they find a mate, they stay with them for the remainder of the wolves life. Pretty cool :)

Why is that cool? If you're a wolf, I figure you're probably not going to find a wolf much better looking than the one you're with, so why not mate for life?

I agree. It's just that many animals in the wild don't choose a life long mate.
