Daniel Bedingfield and Natasha Bedingfield

I was just wondering if there were any fans here who love Danield Bedingfield's music as much as I do, as well as his sister Natasha's music. Daniel has had one U.S. album, "Gotta Get Thru This," which was great, with a good mix of dance beats, ballads, and upbeat pop songs.

I just imported his second album from the UK, since I couldn't wait for a stateside release (if there ever will be one), and it's just as good as the first, with more of a hip-hop edge and some really thoughtful slow songs.

What's more is that Daniel is a Christian, and his second album celebrates that more openly than the first, especially on "The Way." His albums are refreshingly clean, too, with no vulgarity or other bad stuff.

Natasha's U.S. album is also good, and it has a great hip-hop vibe like Daniel's second album. The ladies would probably like this one more than the guys, but since it's more of this undeniable Bedingfield family funk, I love it. She's just as clean in her album, despite a little innuendo that's used in a good way, not a bad way.

Anyway, enough of me rambling: anyone else fans of these British sibs?

Pls pardon the grave digging but yours truly have just discovered the awesomeness of Daniel Bedingfield. I originally was checking out "Gonna Get Through This" and fell for "If you're not the one."

Today, I started to check out all his other songs and was surprised to discover that his lyrics are very agreeable and inspiring. The one that particularly got my attention was Right Girl.

Amen, anyone? In my opinion, there isn't any need to be ashamed of having "da passionz" (as Mr. Smartypants puts it ) and to do it right in God's eyes, elevating it to a higher level of meaning.

I haven't ever listened to every single song produced by Daniel B. but I believe Roger when he said that he's Christian. There's something very down to earth and sincerely God-fearing in his lyrics. Combine that together with funky and adventurous pop music arrangements. I think his albums are worth my $$$ and I'll do some investing. (*0*)//

I don't know much about Natalie but I'll check her out eventually.

Btw, if you look for the second album, you'll have to import it online or find it at a store that sells imports. Don't import from Amazon's US site, though. Go to Amazon's UK site and buy it from them. It ends up being MUCH cheaper!

Oh, and Mave... Where did you find that song? I'm a huge fan, and I've never even heard of it. Is it from that old band of his? (I've been looking for that, btw.) I'll have to research that, but I'm an online procrastinator. Maybe you can answer it more quickly for me. Heehee!

I heard "If You're Not The One" before. They used to play it on the radio whenever I turned it on. I just never knew the name or who made it. It is a very nice sounding song. ^_^

I've heard that song. I'm not certain where it came from, really...I got that particular song off of the internet when I was sampling music and trying to decide whether or not to buy his album. I did wind up buying it. Hmm...I wonder if I still have the song on my computer at my apartment. I'll look at that this weekend, Rogie, and if I do, I'll find a way to get the song to you : ) It's got a nice beat.

I have to say that I started to suspect something with the popular hit "Gotta get Thru This" since he's pretty much pleading to God to help him get through his trials.

I'm so sorry I took so long to respond. I honestly stumbled upon it while download-sampling his music and it's supposedly to be in the 2002, Gotta Get Thru this album. But strangely enough, it doesn't seem to be listed as such on Amazon. Perhaps it's a different type of album release?

Actually, I almost forgot about my question. Oh, well! Anyway, yeah, I think you're right: It's probably on one of the special editions released in the UK. I've never looked those up since I have the US version of that album (without bonus tracks).

I know this song is probably intended towards another individual but sometimes, it reflects on my feelings to God.

Exactly what I was thinking; if I do something stupid or say something wrong and then listen to that song, it's just I'm singing it to God. "Sorry" is definitely one of my faves; there's tons of emotion there.

One thing I can't figure out, though, is who he really is singing to: he mentions "sister" a couple of times, and "family," but it almost seems like a typical "hurt love" song otherwise. He has two sisters (one of whom is, of course, Natasha), but I'm not sure if it's to one of them or what. I visited his website to watch his commentary of the song, but he doesn't mention the lyrics. Oh, well.

Natasha was on Carson Daly one time and did an acoustic version of "Unwritten" and it was really cool.
