I never knew there were actually other Christians into anime! I went to Yahoo! one day and typed in Christian Anime and this was the first site that popped up. And the rest, as they say, is history!

Googling my schools anime club ( Anime Alliance) and this place popped up...

Funny seeing that was more than 2 years ago. ^^

I figuered I could use this as a base of recruitment for my legions of terror, or at least a nice place to chat. Thats what brought me here.

Figuered is the French way to say "figured".

(STILL TO THIS DAY I DONT KNOW WHO THAT PERSON WAS WHO RECOMENDED IT BUT IT MUST BE SOMEONE WHO LIVES IN TEXAS)
The Letter from God Dear child, Despite your silence, I have heard your soul weeping. Why have you been so unhappy? Have you forgotten my everlasting love for you? Child, you are mine. Why have you not called my name sooner? If you seek me, I will answer. I am your counselor, ready to instruct you and show you which path to take. When you come to me, I will embrace you and silence all your fears. Just remember that I am here to hold you close and dry your tears. I will always be right beside you. Not only am I your father, but your best friend. Do not be afraid to ask for my mercy and forgiveness. I know that its hard to live on earth, so I understand when you fall down once in awhile, ask me for help, and I will pick you up and carry you. No one loves you more than I do. When you feel alone, remember I am beside you. When you feel helpless, remember I offer myself to you. When you feel lost, remember I will lead you, and when you feel forgotten, remember that you are my child and I will love you unconditionally. It is never too late to come home. I will be here waiting, ready to embrace you. I will leave the light on for you. Forever with you, God

I was actually trying to find a christian Legend of Zelda forum, which I was pretty didn't exist, and found out it really didn't. But, I found this site because there was a thread about the Leged of Zelda... And then I was like "Hey, this looks like a pretty cool site!" So I looked around for a while, and then later I joined. Yep yep!

Olorc had been on for a while, and he was mainly using CAA for its Roleplay section. I thought that that was neat. So I joined and tried to get into the CRCR in the tavern. The thread died a week or two later. IF you go and look in the posts in that game you can find my first ever post. I soon after started the "Edwards Place" in the tavern. It got to be near 10 or 11 pages I think, despite the fact that Olorc, C-Girl, The man of christ, and I were about the only people who ever posted there. After 2 months in the roleplay area, I realised that there were other parts of the forum! Imagine my delight! And that is the story of how Scribs (known then as Piloswine) joined and became a part of the CAA comunity.

Because it's too long to rewrite, and because it seems to fit better here, I'll just copy and paste my response from a similar thread in Goof Off:
Ah-hem:

I used to belong to another community website, but I left it because, to put it simply, the cons were beginning to outweigh the pros. My mother suggested I find a "Christian website" to hang around, but at the time I was somewhat critical and sarcastic of them, because the ones I had seen were all way too strictly legalistic for me (putting down Final Fantasy for its use of magic etc.). I guess I figured I was too cool for Christian websites. One evening I was doing a Google search for "Christian anime reviews" just for kicks, expecting to read (and subsequently chuckle at) some idiot's extremely negative religious opinion of Dragon Ball Z or something. The link to CAA popped up and I was intrigued by the word "Alliance". I clicked, browsed the site, and was taken aback - I would have never expected something like this. The CAA has aided my spiritual maturity process in so many ways and I'm sure that thanks to this website and all the wonderful friends I've made and experiences I've had here I am now a far cry from the old me and I'm not about to stop now.

Christians reviews+frustration at lack of otaku fellowship = me here. :P

As I've mentioned in several threads about this topic, I was just about to kick my anime habit to the curb, thinking that I must have been one of the few Christians who didn't think anime was of the Devil (I was starting to think that maybe they were right, and that I was just being rebellious.) As one of my last desperate attempts to find anime that my Christian peers would approve of, I typed the phrase "Christian anime reviews" into google and *BLAM* God dropped this site in my lap. *huggles site*
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

I believe I was also searching for Christian anime reviews so I could get not only a summery of the anime but of it's positive and negative content and I found this place...At least that's what I think happened. I can't remember all the way though

When I was back in high school One day I just though "Hey wouldn't it be neat if there was an anime about christianity". Im thinkin something similar to Yuyu Hakusho. Then some one made fun of my idea saying "oh yeah I could see it now Moses parting the ocean with a Kahmehameah blast." Ironically it was a christian school. So i got the idea to look for one.

Then a year later my friend came back from an anime convention and showed me a poster of this site and one day I got bored and here I am. I must admit though Kahmehameah Moses would be pretty cool.
