Ok, I know to extent of what a furrie is but only the bad side of it.
where people dress as animals and have disgusting sexual intercourse with that animal or a human dressed in the same animal costume
or think's they are actually once or was that animal which in my opinion, goes against God's creation and plan.

So what's the difference between extreme furries who practice that and for instance, what you guys, as Christians, define yourselfs as.

Furries do that.
Furs don't.

Furries are the extreme case of... weird fur-loving stuff.
Furs take it all in moderation, knowing that it [fur fandom] is fiction and not worth angsting over.

oh, and about fursuits:

So, such like vegetarism (vegetarians being the the moderate and vegans being the etreme), Furrism (new word :D) has a low and high scale. How do your views that are on low moderate scale differ from those on the extreme high scale?

Cause thier is obviously a fine line that you have drawn and, from what I see, by no means affiliated by the extremists. However, what is your views on this fur thing as well as the basis of your ideals. Is it just fun and to show your admiration for a certain animal?

The most basic description of a Furry (the things themselves, not the people) would be an animal with a humanoid appearance. This can even count with well known characters, such as Bugs Bunny.

Furry Fandomers are simply those who have a strong appreciation for Furries, the same way as Anime Fans/Otakus have a strong appreciation for, well, anime!

Furry artists and writers are what truly affect the Furry Fandom, however. Some, like myself, simply do it for fun and as another means of writing/drawing styles. Some, however, decide to go into an extreme with it, doing things such as yiff (Furry porn/sex) in their art and stories. It is these kinds of Furries that give the rest them a (very) bad name. They are not all like that.

Fursuiters are those who dress up as Furries (duh). The average will simply do a costume and typically where them at Cons (like cosplaying at anime cons, which many Fur Fandomers do as well). There are those that do very extreme things, such as what was posted in your Spoiler box.

Some probably do believe they are/were animals, but most seem to know how to take in moderation. You can go to an extreme with anything, but because Furries are typically a small group (and bad news gets more plubicity), most have only heard of the bad side. I don't watch CSI, but I have heard there was an episode with Furries. Most of what I heard made it seem like they're all all on the bad side. :/

There are also several "groups" in the Furry Fandom. I don't associate completely with any of them, but instead take moderate pieces from the good parts for my own Fur. Most these "groups" aren't what you'd want to be associated with anyways.

Bad news spreads quicker and makes a more catching story.

Neko-people aren't furries; furries are animals with some human characteristics, and neko-people are the other way around. Myoti explained it pretty well.

I'm a furry myself; as you can prolly tell, my fursona is gecko. That would technically make me a scaley, but still, I'm a furry. :3 I've been to one convention, Rocky Mountain Fur Con, and I'm a mod on Furrs Fur Christ, a Christian furry forum. Well, I enjoy fur, from time to time. Especially where it involves catgirls, but more as a side thing. I don't know if that would qualify me as a full-on furry, but it definetly puts me in the camp of "thinking about it."

I'm not technically a 'furry' and I don't really like the wording of that, anyway...gives anthropo's a bad name, methinks, because most people associate furry with sexuality and stuff =/

I'm technically a human with wolf ears and a tail. Huzaah...

I guess you could be a furry, silver_wolf. ^_^

BTW, just because one has animal ears and a tail, that does not make that person a furry. I've said it before on this page.

Believe him. I have learned more about furries from this single person then I will from anyone else in my life time. XD

Furries and Anime fanatics do actually share more in common then you think. We both have a subculture, we're both misunderstood or just ignored by the public, and we're really just clean normal people with an obsession.

If you're going to judge all furries, you might as well say that the only good Anime is Naruto because it has ninjas with fighting while every other anime is for babies based upon the fact that it's a "cartoon".

I can understand people liking animals with human characteristics... but why do "furrys" say they ARE animals.

God made humans special (in his own image) and made us to BE humans... Why would you say you are something else?

Not all furries think they are animals; they just express their animal side more than most people. However, there is therianthropy and "furry spirituality", where people really do think they have an animal's spirit inside of them. This isn't as common as the mainstream furry fandom, so it's not really fair to say that all furries are like that.

I know God made me as a human, but I like to pretend I'm a gecko sometimes. No harm there, right?

Yeah I think thats fine...

And I actually love furries (especially sonic style furries!...)

But the people who say they ARE animals are the ones I really dislike!

So yeah I guess as a whole I do like furries and I am definitely fine with the furries that have a fursona that represents who they are emotionally plus represents their tastes but who don't believe that they actually deeply truly are that fursona.

Its complicated... >.<

If I had a fursona it would proably be a seal or otter or something of that sort! an amphibious mammal... Somebody want to help me design it???

Yeah, I used to be that way, Vernhal, when I was younger. I was 10 when I made Okami (Then 'Snowy', she later became a mistranslation, 'Ookima', and then at age 13 she became 'Okami') I was so obsessed I thought I was my wolf-like character. (She didn't become mostly human until I was 13; and then she was about the polar opposite of the Okami she is today, an inuyasha wannabe, actually  )

IT WAS SCARY.

....This topic....

I'm sorry, but go purview the internet for awhile.

Heh, actually, just go google "furry" and see what you find. I like animal/human crosses just fine, but the subculture is a lesson in perversion.

For once... I agree with Zarn... and Hitokiri's summary of what being ah... uh... "furry" actually means. I would be very wary about labeling myself that rather than simply saying "I like anime anthro characters and have an anthro alter ego that I sketch" because when you word as seriously as some of you just did your bringing in a lot of occult practices and such that come from the roots of the idea - even if you claim to be a "Christian" furry who was once a raccoon that got run over by a steamroller and still looking for your raccoony lovelife.... >.>;; Gah. I say no more.
