flash artist site

hey everyone

I was at newgrounds just now, and I found some really messed up people in there. in fact there was one guy that started a thread saying how we should use human babies as an energy source. While I don't even want to touch on that hideous subject, I was thinking. How about we start a site like newgrounds, with flash games, videos, etc. but it has to be christian, or at least clean enough for your kids to see.

Answer: Because the administration doesn't want to pay 2000 dollars a month for the server. Already we're pushing the system pretty hard.

besides, there's always gonna be sites like Newgrounds that are very secular. Making a Christian site to emulate it would just bring a lot of drama and forum wars.

And using babies for experiments?! That's don't disgusting and demonic! But I guess it shows how far the world's gone down. And it just keeps going downhill at an amazing rate each and everyday. How depressing...

well, I mean, the thing is I have flash and I'm working on a project right now, when I get done I want people to see it (duh) and it at least shows how the theme corelates to spiritual warfare/christianity, and a lot of people at NG are at least christian/christianity hating people. And when I say hate, I mean the worst possible way you could imagine. Fortunately, there are some christian artists there (but I hope that they can stay away from those people). Anyway back to the project. I don't want it to get a low score just because it deals with religon/christianity, to give someone a low scure because of that is discrimating and unfair. I would much rather be scored as to how well I drew the film and how well I made my point across.

well, okay, see I don't even feel that the CAA has to support it or fund it. it's their choice, but it would be nice if someone made a christian site where people that have flash (and know how to use it) can just post it in the site, it get's rated by other fellow viewers, and that it's rated like any other submitted item would. however, generally speaking, you can't have anything that would go over a "PG-13/R rating". A submitted item may not:
1) have anything talked/acted out/etc. that is illegal if you did that in real life (drugs, murder, etc.)*
2) be intended to offend various groups/races (unless if you are that race e.g. I'm asian, I could make a short flash video about asians)
3) have even signs of gratuitous sex (e.g. you can have two, supposedly topless people wake up in the same bed, but you can not have any audio or visual aid)

I think you guys get the idea, just don't be a moron about it and everything would be okay.

lol... no offense, but I think you're exagerating things a bit when you say that the people at NG hate Christians in the worst possible way. Online persecution is nothing compared to what a lot of Christians go through IRL.

well, okay, it may be b/c that I went to the politics forum, but there was even one forum where a user proudly stated that he is christiain (YAY!!) but he wrote it saying for other people trying to shake him from his religion. which I can believe considering some of the topics listed that are not related to flash, art, etc. (e.g. slavery is okay, using humans babies as an energy source, God being evil b/c he knows whether or not we repent, etc.). Now I know the general forum population (not the CAA) are non-christians, and a good number of them do complain about it, but I'm not willing to be an active member of that site if such bashing of religion is going to continue.

Exactly. Most OL people are just talking smack and will go and on and on and about how much the hate us, etc..

I'm also a Furry and have seen quite a few Furry-bashing comments and sites as well, but it sometimes is a bit discouraging when other Furries talk about hating "Christian Furries".


Anyhoo, I personally think that simply putting your own work out into the secular world would be the best idea. That way, if your work is good, you may attract attention from those that want to know more about it. Isolationism isn't the key to winning souls. Reaching out is (though I don't mean like going into a strip bar to share Jesus with the drunkards @.@ ).And if someone attacks you verbally on these sites, don't attack back. Use it as an oppurtunity. Ask them why they feel this way and then share what you believe.

I don't really get mad anymore. They're lost souls, and they don't real understand what we're about. If they do and still attack us, then it becomes a problem.

If you're on a site where the Administrators and Mods themselves are blatantly anti-Christian, then yeah, it'd probably be best to leave. But if they don't really care, all your facing is the opinions of another person. Though alot of them do, not all secualr people are out to attack Christianity. I've been on plenty of forums where this was the case.

One example would be the forums for the Game Maker program. There have been several people (myself included), that have brought up the subject of "Christian-focused" games. This in itself is a whole other topic, but must of the ones I spoke to there wher either open (didn't care or were Christians themselves), wondered why it had to be "Christ centered" (this mostly came from those of other religions, but I basically told them I simply believe it should hold "moral values", which is again another subject), or out-right hated the idea (to which I either had to convince them it could work or ignore them :/ ).

Really? Awesome! Yeah, I'm a little like that too (I'm a bat Furry). There's only one guy at my school I know that's a furry (he's the one that got me started in it), but he's... um, "different" somtimes. >.>

I'm 16 (will be 17 in October), and there a quite a few other Furries here I know of (there would be a CAA Furry Club, if a certain someone would start it already XP).
