Leaving Sunday for Japan

Postby kaji » Fri Sep 23, 2005 8:06 am

Thanks to all of you who have been praying along with my wife and I for our Missions Trip to Japan.

Less then a year ago, something like this wasnt even on the radar of our lives, infact it was somthing that always seamed quite unattainable. But here we are today, by Gods Grace, packing the last of our bags for a month long stay in Japan.

While Im sure we will see lots of computers there, I may not have the time to check back here let alone write to each of the many people who have dedicated them selves to pray for our trip.

But we want all of you to still be able to enjoy in our trip right along side us, so to this end we have decided to keep a Blog of our trip as it happens.

The adress is: http://cultureshockforchrist.blogspot.com/

I will miss you all while we are away, but please feel free to leave us any* comments.

Thanks again so much for all of your prayers and encouragment.

Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.
- J. Hudson Taylor
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

I will definitely pray for you and your mission. Thank you for providing the blog... I may have to actually read one (for I am not generally a blog reader).

My hands are tied to worlds
alone,
And this I know.
Your breath's like wine,
And just like clouds, my skin crawls.
It's so divine, the sky it glows with fields of light.
Did you know that I love you?
Come and lay with me.
I love you.
And all this day, I will love you.
You make me feel alive,
and I'll love you
Until the end of time.

BOOSTER: What? THIS thing's a cake?

(in response to an interview question "Do you have a pet peeve having to do with this biz?")
People who write below their abilities in order to crank out tons of books and make a buck. Especially Christian authors who do that. Outsiders judge us for it, and make fun of us for it, and it makes Jesus look bad. We of all artists on earth should be the most concerned with doing our best possible work at all times. We of all people should write with all our hearts, as if writing for the Lord and not for men.

Thanks so much every one for your continued prayers. Every day brings more excitment and challenges, but knowing that we face them all with God is a great comfort.

We have TONS of pictures all ready and its only been a week. But we have only put a few into our BLog. Check out the link above if you want to keep track of all the excitement. I wish you could all be here, not so much because this is the home of many anime and games but that you could see the spiritual darkness and idolity that we know little about in the States.

My heart aches for those people I have met, and the trials against the Evil One I can barely comprehend.

Please, Please pray for Japan and the salvation of her people. They need the love of Christ so badly.

Though I'll be sorry to see you leaving, it's exciting to see one of our own go out into the world and really see souls won for Christ. God bless you and your family richly, Kaji!
