CAA Dreams??

Postby Yumie » Tue Sep 20, 2005 3:08 pm

Ok, so the other night I had a funny dream about CAA. I dreamed that I was browsing through different posts and I came across one by Osaka (Mangafanatic, my sister, for those of you who don't know that) where she made a comment about me and accidentally said what my real name is; so I was like, "Nooooooooo! My identity has been revealed!!" And then I see that she spelled it wrong. So I'm trying to figure out some way to convince everybody that it wasn't my name, and then. . . I woke up. So I was curious: am I just weird, or has anybody else out there had a dream about CAA before? *cringes hoping that someone else out there knows what I'm talking about*
Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower:
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.

Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.

High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.

Yus! I used to dream about CAA a lot, especially about meeting various friends I had made on the boards here. It got pretty crazy. ^__^

Hmm, not yet for me. Maybe this only happens once I get to, like 500 posts or 1K ours in the chat room. I usually have pretty good dreams. I seem to frequently be looking for something.

Now that you mention it, I did have a very odd CAA related dream a few weeks ago. It went something like this...

I was invited to a moderator's house (it changed in the course of the dream. At first it was UC's house, but later it was Ashley's) for a big gathering of CAA people. I got there and the only people there were the mods. We all sat in a circle and got to know eachother, though I knew Shatterheart already (in reality I have just met him, but in the dream we knew eachother quite well). Somehow in the dream it was announced that I would be taking over management of CAA, and this was not a big suprise to anyone (it was a very odd dream.) Later, Ashleys mom gave me some lemonade, and explained that a large tree had fallen through the roof when the house was being built, and that therefor there was a large tree protruding sideways into the living room. And there was. This is about all that I can remember of the dream at present, though I think that there was more. Very odd it was.

The only two dreams I remember having about CAA for some strange reason involved Inkhana. ^_^;

In one of them, she was the brand name of my good Sunday morning shoes.

In the other one, she was the 8-year-old green-haired heroine of a computer game called "The Mystery of Pokepoke Mountain."

Don't even ask... :lol:

I can't remember dreaming about being online, but I've dreamt about meeting other members. The first dream I remember having was about UC; he was at my grandparents' house for some reason and yes, he did look like Sephiroth. lol I had a dream about when Ashley, Shiroi, Cal and I were in Ft. Worth too...:lol: weird...

Oh, I hope Nick makes it in here. He has a really good one.

Me, well, I haven't really had any coherent CAA dreams. They're always to hazy and confusing to remember. Sad, though.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Indeed I do! In my dream, Mangafanatic was my conscience. Well, her user picture, anyway. Her Mitsuki avatar grew two feet wide and hovered behind me, telling me right from wrong. Strangely enough, no one seemed to notice her, even when she bumped into them as I was walking around. And I sure did a lot of walking. It was a very agitated dream, though I can't remember why. I wonder what grave undertaking I had embarked on that merited the summoning of a supplementary conscience?

Ha ha, well, it seems that Osaka gets around in our dreams. . . of course she's my sister so I have weird dreams involving her all the time, so it's not so odd that she would be in one about CAA too but, well, you know. . .

Glad to know I'm not the only bizarre one here. The sideways tree was funny. I wonder what makes us think of stuff like this in our sleep?

People are strange. :lol:

I had a "Webforum" dream recently, but it wasn't particularly funny and it didn't involve the CAA. There I in a building (I think) that represented the forum and with room there was a post being read by a disembodied voice (although at times this also happened while walking outside the building). It was a religious debate. Somehow I knew who the "poster" of each voice was even though I can't remember if there was a distinction to the disembodied voices (although I suspect there might have been). It was an interesting dream, but I would have preferred a CAA dream. (the forum of the dream was one which I loosely refer to as the "Mooseforum" although that is not its name and it does not involve real ones (or Bullwinkle for that matter).

I only remember one time where I had a very short dream about CAA.

I was with a few other members here and I remember being happy to meet them in real life and hearing what their voices sound like, etc. But then we were always running away from these dark figures trying to shoot us. I remember being scared and worried all the time. I dream about being chased alot, but this was odd because I didn't have any powers (jumping over buildings or turning into things, most of the time) to help me run away from the shooters. It was very tiring.

...So. It wasn't a very good dream. :sweat:

Lol, well, I'm not particularly worried about anybody finding out what my real name is, it's just that I prefer to play it safe by not telling anyone. Same with Osaka. I think the reason that I dreamed that is because several times when I've talked about her in a post I've accidentally typed her name and had to go back and erase it. I think that kind of got me thinking about it a little bit which probably spurred that dream. Anyways, even if I'm not that worried about it here in real life I was totally freaked when it happened in my dream :lol: Osaka you had better never accidentally type my name in a post, you hear me?! Ha ha ha. . . .

ROFL!

I had one where I was off visiting a church with the ministry team (something we do), and I met one of the guys from CAA. When we realized we were both on CAA, he (he was a conglomeration of like five guys on CAA, dreams are weird) gave me this big bear hug that forced all the air out of my lungs and popped my ribs and spine. And that's all I remember.
:hits_self: That was shortly after one of the "hug" threads was started and that is the mostly likely reason why I dreamed like I did.
