What car do you have/drive?

Postby Warrior4Christ » Sat Sep 10, 2005 10:57 pm

I noticed some people were asking which type of car others had in the transmission type thread, so I decided to make a new one for this.

Also, piccys would be nice if possible .

I'll start off with mine.
I have a Subaru Liberty (aka Legacy in weird parts of the world) 1991, manual.

I have a 2001 Honda Civic EX Coupe edition, and I love it dearly. A sunroof, cd player, and brand new cheaper than a used Accord, what's not to love?

This photo is similiar, with one tiny difference. Mine has a small, thin gold paintstripe down the side.

I have a 87' Honda Accord LX-I witha hatchback.

I bought it at a car auction for $342 after title transfer. Had to do some work on it, but 4 yrs later, it still purrs like a kitten. Perhaps it's not the best looking car in the world, but it was all I could afford. So I'll take what I can get. I put a CD player in it, then before I left bestbuy I bought new speakers for half price... So I raised the car value by 50%.

Believe it or not I actually had a picture of my car laying around... Go figure... Hopefully in about a month or so I'll be adding a motorcycle to the list.

I have no car, but I usually drive my mom's 2001 gold Chevy Cavelier. The other car I drive is my dad's 1999 gold Ford Contour, which I will hopefully inherit soon.

I'm not old enough to drive but when I am my mom said something about buying a car that all my siblings and I can drive...Ah I can just see it now...
"Hey, you forgot to fill up the gas tank so I had to do it for you."
"Oh."
"I need forty or so bucks from you to pay the gas price."
"No way!"
"It was your turn!"
"I'll pay you back when you do something worthy of it!"
*tackle, smack, whap, thwack, kick, punch, hit, bam, splat, yank, tear*
That would end well...And then my mom and dad would come in, see how much we're fighting about the car and return it to the dealer, or keep it for themselves. So, yeah, I think I'll be walking and taking the bus a lot for getting around when I'm old enough...^^;;;

Looks like a fairly nice car. If it runs, doesn't have a lot of mileage, has four wheel drive and doesn't eat a hole through your wallet with gas then I would say its a good enough car!

No, not really, it would be shameful to say such of my friends in a serious manner. There are advantages to taking the bus you know, having done so myself for college, particularly since you could use this handy dandy Trip Planner at http://www.rtd-denver.com/cgi-files/fortecgi?ServiceName=twwwPTD&PageName=TripPlannerPublic . My only complaint so far is that strangely the Bloods (I think that's who they are anyway) are rather fond of sitting next to me on my route - which is somewhat unnerving, although they're really just out to get home too.

Oh, as to me, I've always had a strong dislike and apathy towards automobiles, and hence they take up little presence in my mind, which is why I still don't drive.

I need to take a new picture of me with it that was a crappy camera phone pic.

Mine's a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero. It's great. Good gas mileage, enough pickup and go power, trunk room a plenty, big backseats, CD player, new brakes when I got it, neglibible damage, it was in great shape. And all it's miles were pretty much highway from the previous owner so it wasn't beaten into the road. Best part was the price I got it for my parents were really impressed about how I handled dealing with the lady and getting a good deal for myself.

1996 Saturn SL2, green (a bit on the darker side), automatic transmission. It's got a leather interior, moon roof, power windows, cruise control, tape deck (no cd player, but there's a space for one), and it gets about 28-29 mpg.

Even though I don't have a car, I'm not really going to stress about it because for one I'm not even old enough to drive yet, and for two I am 99% sure that I'm going to be living and preaching the gospel in Japan so I don't think I'll need a car (considering all the traffic) If I'm going someplace I'll ride a bike or walk or take a taxi if it's far enough out. I just don't see the use in driving a car from here and there, plus I'll probably be busy working to earn money and a lot of that has to be considered for gas for the car and repairs. It would just be one less for me to worry about.

Powder-blue 2002 Saturn SL2, 124hp 1.9L DOHC, *manual transmission* (what God would drive if He had to drive ;) ), 4-speaker CD, cruise control, power locks/steering/windows. I wanted to add the moonroof and spoiler but they didn't have any in stock and I needed the car pretty quick as my Civic had met an untimely end a few days before. Oh, and it gets about 30-33 mpg. Pretty good!

The Saturn plastic panelling was really what sold me, besides the fact I like their no-haggle dealership. I really hate salesmen. I hate them. The Saturn guys just let me do what I wanted, and when I found what I wanted, then I got it (at 0.0% APR, no fighting over the price -- I think it was $15,000 something). Anyway, my dad and I were dubious about how "dent resistant" the plastic was. So the salesman kicked the car and left about a 1 foot dent in the side -- and then it popped back out. No paint defect, no scratch, no nothing. My Civic used to pick up a new dent every week or so from shopping carts and rude people.

I have a 98 Nissan Frontier pickup, automatic 2 wheel drive.

I despise it, but it's because it needs a lot of work xD;; It's been rather good to me, considering the circumstances, though. I have airconditioning and a tape deck, but other than that, no extras. I don't have any pics of my car, but it's this EXACT truck (even with the gold strip down the side) in the color of the second pic-candy apple red.
