What country would you like to visit? Any particular reason you would like to visit it? Just asking. :grin:

They have an underground salt-mine in Krakow that's fun to visit. :grin:

Poland (always looked like a beautiful country)
Russia (ditto)
the United States (lots to do and see)
Mexico (Aztec & Mayan ruins, baby! ;) )
Canada (I want to be able to say i was in Medicine Hat)
Japan (Looks interesting ;) )
China (Great Wall only!)
Croatia (I'd like to be able to say that I visited the place that invented ties)
All these placed I'd like to visit I also want to visit the Island of St Helena - but that hard because it has no airport and you'd have to take a boat to get there. But its a beautiful island.

I went to visit my Dad's family in southern Mexico a while back, beautifful country. They have a whole valley to themselves and only one way out, which made it a little surreal but awe-inspiring.

Russia and it's former satelites are famous for their beauty (they were used as resorts during the Soviet Era) I think i'll drop those places too...

always wanted to see Red Square without the bombs and intriuge.

Countries I would like to visit:

Kyoto, Japan: Why? Because in the state, there's lots of ancient Japanese castle which is been preserved painfully well. :cool:

Seoul, South Korea: Visit The largest Church in the history of Christianity!! The Full Gospel Yoido Church pastored by Dr Yonggi Cho :angel:

Venice, Italy: The place where artist from all around the world will meet during the Arts Festival.

London, Britian: Just want to see Mr Big Ben!! :sweat:

Barcelona and Madrid, Spain: Want to see wat's the culture like!! :)

Israel: Want to know more about the life of Jesus and the Word of God. Educators says that learning is better in words and images, or at least that applies to me.

Think that's all. If I remember any, I'll update again. :rock:

I know (when he was there the island had a garrison of thousands of soldiers just in case someone was going to try and bust him out) but the country is also linked to South Africa through the Boer War (1899 - 1902). Boer POWs were sent there when the British caught them, so it has a lot of history to it as well.

Edit: Also a former Zulu king (who was dethroned by Shaka, I think) lived in exile there and his descendants still live on the island.

Oh yes - it has black beaches. The sand is black because its actually volcanic ash. Interesting feature, I must say.

Napoleon was poisoned. Arsenic, IIRC.

I want to visit every country. And walk across them.

Someday, I will. Probably.

England. I have been there once, but I would love to go again. Of all the citys I have been to in my life it is by far the most interesting. Don't bother wiht Paris, once you havve seen the louve, and the Eifel tower there is not much else worth seeing.

Do you mean London in England?

I would love to go to Australia and Britain b/c I just love their accents and how amazing it is that, though they speak English like us, their English and their culture are really different than ours here in America. They have different slang, spellings, etc. I would love to go live among them and learn about their culture--especially the Australians--they are just plain cool.

For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Of all the places I want to visit, the two I'd like to visit the most are France and Japan. France because I had two years of French and would like to learn more through practical use (and plus, France just looks cool :P); and Japan because I just think it would be cool to visit a civilazation so different from ours. So many neat places out there. . . so few I'll ever see :(.
Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower:
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.

Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.

High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.

France is at the top of my list since I can speak the language--haltingly--and am simply fascinated by the country.

Japan, for obvious reasons. The areas I would most like to see within Japan are Kyoto and Okinawa.

The UK. As an English major, England is of particular cultural interest to me, but I would also like to be able to see Ireland, Scotland, and Wales.

Israel, because I would love to be able to see the Holy Land in person.

In no particular order:

Norway
Italy
Russia
Greece
Switzerland

I would like to visit tons of places...

Japan - you know why
New Zealand - I'd go and hang with CA and Soph and see all the neato places (not to mention the not so neato ones.)
Italy
Afghanistan
Indonesia
Switzerland - visited there when I was way younger but I don't remember much.
Chile.

Well I pretty much want to visit every country that I can. And I want to go and see what they are really like...Not just the tourist spots.
