If you could marry an anime character?

If you could marry an anime character?

Postby ~Natsumi Lam~ » Fri Sep 02, 2005 1:02 am

If you could marry an anime character... who would it be?

Reason i ask: i knew a couple people who wanted to marry Darien from Salor Moon. I wanted to know if others liked an anime character's character so much to marry them.

Well this is certainly an interesting topic...

If I had the opporotunity to pick someone from an anime it would probably have to be Winry Rockbell from Full Metal Alchemist.

She's smart, witty, not half bad of a dresser either. Always dependable too...Except for that one mistake (Fans of the show will know which one I'm talking about).

Looking forward to seeing how others respond to this.

I don't understand the question. Marry an anime character to whom? *scratches head*

My wife isn't an Anime character, but she'd make a good one, and if she was, well, then I'd marry her. :)

My beloved Mitsuki Sanada,of course! :thumb:
If she weren't avaible then Mitsuki Rara or D or Yayoi.
If any of them aren't avaible then Kagome or Sango or Kikyo or Kagura
from Inuyasha.
Then also there's my beloved Flay from Gundam Seed(I think we'd make
a nice couple since we both have red hair!  )on the off
chance that doesn't work out I could go to my favorite anime series
Silent Mobius and try to get my first love Yuki Saiko or perhaprs
Katsumi Liqueur(as long as she doesn't turn Evil on me!)and then there's
always Lum Cheng!
But in the long run I think either Mitsuki Sanada or else Meryl from
Trigun would be my best shot.Although when I did take the
Who's Your Anime Girlfriend test over at theOtaku I came out with
Belldandy.
So if none of the others work out and if Keiichi isn't looking I'll take
Belldandy as my last best choice!

I don't know.

But frankly, why would any of them want to marry *me* when they could marry anime babes with disproportionate and barely-clothed bodies?

Michelle Chiang from ROD The TV. Or Sakaki from Azumanga Daioh.

Duo Maxwell from Gundam Wing, hands down. That boy is without a doubt my favorite character (as if you can't tell by the avatar or name, L2 being his space colony, XD), going through so much pain yet enduring it with a smile and the only family he has-his friends.

Kind of hard to answer. If we're going on values here, then absolutely noone. Most of the gals are dabble in exhibitionism at one point or another and are generally immoral. (I'd never marry a gal who wore those outfits in real life...)

Not only that, but there's that 'unequally yoked' thing.

But, to shut up and simply answer the question in the spirit it was intended, I would marry either Sakuya from Tenchi in Tokyo, Kaoru from Rurouni Kenshin, or...uh... I'm sure there are others. ;)

i'll say this once and only once: Because you're worth much more than any of those "disproportionate and barely clothed bodies."

Don't even START to get it into your head that I'm trying to hit on you, though. Not that you would have, just covering my bases...

Taking that quote in a different direction, not all anime girls are scantily clad or structurally incorrect... The "long legs, large..." well, the days in which they were prominent in anime is over.
And, you know, merely having a large breasted woman on a show doesn't instantly make it fanservice, provided they're not hydraulic... I know a number of women with large proportions... Provided they didn't do it themselves, it's perfectly natural...
To be on topic, I havent' liked any anime girls since I was a teenager... I think the last one I sorta liked was the girl on Onegai Teacher (fansub days, when it was still on TV in Japan) The one that likes the main character, I think... I don't remember that much, actually... It may not have been her. In any case, none that I can think of now.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evcNPfZlrZs Watch this movie なう。 It's legal, free... And it's more than its premise. It's not saying Fast Food is good food. Just watch it.

At the moment I'm currently spoken for in real life. However, seeing as this topic was made for fun, my obvious choice wuld be Ichinomiya Kantaro from tactics. While or personalities would mesh rather well (I've been accused by friends of using the same "act cute and stupid" technique that Kantaro employs quite often), I think my presence would be somewhat distressing to the other members of the Ichinomiya household. ("It's like having two Kantaros! I can't handle it!") And with not one, but two whiny procrastinating writers on the loose, I'd shudder to think of what could happen to Meiji Era Tokyo.

Can't be too careful. :thumb: And thanks.

Alice's reply: Yes, but those women are not usually extremely skinny in other areas.
"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close

Hmmm. Well.... possibilities include Urd from Ah! My Goddess and Mutsumi Otohime from Love Hina.

If I include characters who already have attachments, Aoi Sakuraba from Ai Yori Aoshi is also a great choice. As is Kyoko Otonashi from Maison Ikkoku.

To be honest, I'm getting really sick of all the 'large proportions', to put it tactfully, in anime. It's so transparently fake and just plain disgusting. They only do it for the sex appeal to bolster viewing of their show. It's the main reason the anime world is submerged in hentai. >.>

Oh, yeah. My #1 pick would be Millie from Trigun. Getting back to the currently emerging topic, she's actually not your standard over-endowed female, which is always a + in my book.
